yeah.. and it's funny to hear now this is the biggest story of the NFL now and it's a HUGE trade... for a guy who never started a game since high school before this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were MORE PLAYERS involved. The Pats should have received a 1st round pick. Instead they got a second. Who knows? Maybe we get Gonzales in the deal too.

i dont think pioli will give the 1st this yr .its pioli not snyder so he knows how BB negotiates and vice versa. i will be surprised if its more than 2 this yr.

YES YES YES!!!!!

Whatever the compensation, we will have a boatload of draft picks and an extra 18 million (Cassel and Vrabel contract) to play with in free agency. I wonder if the Peppers rumors are true, being that they freed up the position he would play by trading vrabel.

Bottom line for me is if after giving up Cassel and Vrabel we do not get KC's 1 THIS year, I don't like this trade at all.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Cassel has been traded to the Chiefs.

The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss has confirmed the news, which is part of the deal sending Mike Vrabel away.
