Hello all,

Great to be back at Gillette watching football!

Wet one but a fun one.

here are the guys that stood out to me.

Jones I credited him with 2 sacks and he a pick on a crappy thrown bubble screen by Tebow. You can clearly see he has bulked up. Very intrigued by him today. Vince was there on one of them too to make sure the QB couldnt scramble.

Bequette looked he had a sack too. And Cunningham once as well.

They did a drill where a receiver caught it vs two defenders and the defenders were to try and knock the ball out. Ninko was the only one I saw who got one out. Nice to see him pick up where he left off with ball hawking. This is also the drill where Tebow caught his pass.

Funny to see him working the option in the opportunity session at the end.

It is obvious to see DA and Brady work I wouldnt be shocked if Half TBs throws went to DA. Overall DA was pretty solid with one real nice sideline catch in good coverage keeping his feet in.

Arrington twice on the same play dropped a pick but good coverage slipped through his hands and McCourty tipped it back up and Arrington dropped it again. Nice play though.

Dobson on more than one occasion beat Talib one of them I thought was real nice as Talib had deep coverage on him and Dobson just sat on a 10-15 yard hitch for an easy one. He seems to work the middle of the field nicely.

No defense but on a drill where the QB throws a hail mary and the WR work on tracking the ball Boyce made a good catch on a difficult one to track.

Vareen had a few drops today and while its one practice it was disapointing to see your receiving RB dropping passed in the rain.

Kick return and punt are tough to gage with no contact but Washington just looks legit.

Didnt see much from everyones binky Kenbrell but the other binky Sudfield had a few catches one in particular I thought was a tough one to make.

I like the way or nickle looks with Talib and Dennard on the outside, Arrington at the nickle and McCourty and A. Wilson deep. just looks better than last TC when we were without Talib and Wilson.

thats it for now if I think of anything else I will add. and as others comments my opinions will be hears as well.

Football is back baby.

This post made my day, thank you! So good to be reading on the field reports again!

Bless your heart, SBB, we all needed this SO bad after this offseason.

Ahhhh actual talk of football! Incredibly refreshing:rocker:

**** YEAH, you're my favorite person for the moment, OP.

Collins and Boyce reportedly looked really good. Any time spent watching either of them?

This is the first I heard about Dobson beating Talib.

Funny how the mind works as I have read a couple media comment on Boyce but I thought Dobson stood out more. They both got some good action but I thought Boyce best catch was without the D present where Dobson had nothing spectacular but a few nice routine catches with the D in coverage.

It can be tough to watch everyone and there were times were I looked up Collins but I didnt notice anything in particular from him other than seeing him already working with some of the ones and appearing to fit in and sticking out negatively. Again the media seems to be praising him and I wonder if I might have missed a play or two that he made.

Any indication if Dobson was working with the 1's or the 2's? If it's the former, was Brady looking his way?

SBB, you are a godsend to all of us stuck in offices waiting hear any FOOTBALL Patriot's info, after the ****tiest offseason ever. Once again, thanks ! It's Patsfans members like you that make us thankful to be members of Patsfans.

Notice how Dowling looked?

Looks like fnord is pumped the season is close. He's going on a like spree.

Or, as fnord would say: **** **** ********** ****** pumped!

Hopefully this is a harbinger of moving on from all of the other distractions to NE Patriots Football...

Notice how Dowling looked?

I kept thinking I was seeing him and then it would be Talib when they are on that far field 21 and 31 are tough tell apart. But most of the plays I remember wound up being Talib. Good to see Talib make the plays but I expect him to and Dowling would have been more intriguing.

Any indication if Dobson was working with the 1's or the 2's? If it's the former, was Brady looking his way?

I will fully admit to having an aweful TC habit which is to ignore the QB. In my mind I know what Brady can do and I find myself ignoring who is the QB at times. But I am pretty sure he was getting work with the ones and the 2s. and By my eye it seemed everyone was rotating alot other than DA who I would say paired with Brady almost everytime.

Free likes on every post in this thread man. You could post my bank account number and directions to my house and a list of ways to personally torture me and I'd like it in this thread.

Real, actual, on the field football man. Can you dig that **** or what?

Moderators can you please close this thread and send to practice squad hell. What does this thread have to do with Hernandez, Dennard's DUI, or Tebowmania? There is no football talk allowed on this board.

Seriously, thanks SBB for the update. Good to see real football actually talked about on this board.

A lot of exciting stuff looking good so far. Can't really take much from training camp especially the first practice, but I am happy to hear positive things especially about Jones, Amedola, and Dobson.

yup...I agree!... ....runs around room punching the air and scaring the bejeezus out of the cat....jumps through screen door and runs up to kick bag , starts roundhouse kicking the crap out of the defenseless leather sack with the Sanchez face painted on it....

WOO HOO!!! WE'RE BACK!!!

Thanks SBB. As always, your updates are very much appreciated and worth looking forward to each year.

Refreshing to remember there is a light at the end of this tunnel that has been the offseason from hell.

Has the depth chart at WR seemed to change at all since we last left them at camp? It sounds like it was too much a revolving door today to tell?

Whew ! football is backkkk !! :rocker:

Hello all,

....

Aaaah.

I can think of one or two things that I might enjoy more than the first reports out of camp in July. But since I'm at work and partaking in those things here would get me fired, if not arrested, this will do quite nicely.

Thanks to all who file these reports.

Another question...

Did you see Adrian Wilson beaten by Ballard? If so, did it look like a product of Wilson simply being out of position (new scheme) or did Wilson get straight-up beaten?
