IDK. The AFC does at this point looks ripe for the picking.

However if Houston/Denver get a QB they are instantly scary.
I will never again worry about Pitt until they get a new head coach. Anytime anyone says they are scared of Pitt I will simply reply "zone blitz vs Brady" over and over.
KC will never make the next leap.
Titans? Too soon for them. They have more to build.

As of now only the Raiders could stop us. And lets be real they could. But that is not too bad to at this point only have 1 team you know will be hard to deal with.

Miami will be better next year. Raven's injury bug kept a good team down, and the Colts are in much better hands with Luck always a threat. I see a much tougher road in 2017.

True. But:
- 70M to spend in FA
- possibly 2 1st round picks
- a championship team with most key players and all coaching staff staying
Looking forward to that.

The game is in Minny next year - the closest NFL city to me. Would be awesome if the Pats are there again next year. I would definitely need to make the trip.

Lots can happen with FA and draft.

Pats still rule the AFC. Miami will be more trouble, but won't prevail. Raiders will be the biggest threat to another SB appearance. Denver is going to have to keep a good D without Wade Phillips and see good development from Lynch.

I really don't know who wins the NFC. If the Falcons take it the right way, they take this loss as "we can do it." Seahawks are in a weak division now. If Rodgers is good - GB is good.

Lets wait and see how the off season goes. Free Agency. We have a lot of FA on the market. Which ones do we sign and which ones walk?

Draft... Can we get a kings ransom for Garopollo? I think we can...

Injuries. Some years I thought we could've won it but got held back by key injuries (Gronk in 2011 and 2013, and many others). You gotta stay relatively healthy throughout December and January all the way to the SB

Agree that injuries are the key, perhaps more so than any other factor beyond Belichick's coaching and Brady's quarterbacking. The question is whether the new strength and conditioning team of Cabrera and Hardy had anything to do with the Pats success in avoiding the number of injuries that had afflicted them in the past. I mean sometimes the opponents had more guys listed as "out," "doubtful," or "questionable" than New England. That's not what I call Patriot football.

Hard to believe we could reboot the dynasty by winning three SB's in four years again.

Not for me.

We have clutch players like Edelman and Hightower, and Brady got the elusive monkey off his back at SBXLIX.

Pats vs Giants. I want it. You want a story line for #6? Something to really sink your teeth in? There it is.

Brady finally scores in 1Q .. spikes his helmet .. gives the ball to BB .. signs it for him while the D is doing their thing..
I think Pats own AFC for the remainder of Brady's career... 6 Lombardis likely, 7 is a distinct possibility.

I do think this is getting ahead of things. I mean your going to lose some guys, get new ones. Err Kicker comes to mind lol.
But BB is brilliant at fielding a new team each year so I think youll have at least the opportunity to compete for a SB, unless the injury bug hits. Like it did GB.
Guess Im just worried that Pats fans get in a feeding frenzy and forget how hard it is for a team to win a SB. Id just enjoy this miricle win and deal with the what if theories after you see the new team. I mean there is really no way to answer this question right now. Does that sound right ? Its a fun question though.

Then again how are you going to beat us in the SB? lol j/k

we had a huge advantage in terms of roster continuity this year, with a lack of impact free agents lost

I think with the cap space we can maintain talent but there will be more of an early season adjustment period.

That's not to say i don't like our chances for the BRADY 6th.
