….vs the Chargers. I know NE’s defense has been a worry, but I feel like the LAC are the fakest of fake 11-4 teams historically.

If NE does not get the bye, as seems more likely than not, shaping up for us to get the Chargers in the first round, and then the Jags or Bills - depending on who wins Jags-Texans matchup. I can live with that for sure

There's the Stroud mistake.

He's got a defense where he just has to manage the game and he still does that, that's a horrendous throw.

Another thing, Texans are very healthy at this time compared to most other teams . That defense does scare me

Except at both OT spots. They should be ready for the playoffs though.

Perhaps many. I’m not impartial - but I’d bet Maye is gonna eclipse Herbert’s career. Ppl assume that guy is great, but I question if he’s even good. He’s talented, but what suggests he is ever going to win a playoff game ?

The level of spite and seems like dirty hits makes it feel like these are two division opponents that play each other a lot & dont like each other much.

Perhaps many. I’m not impartial - but I’d bet Maye is gonna eclipse Herbert’s career. Ppl assume that guy is great, but I question if he’s even good. He’s talented, but what suggests he is ever going to win a playoff game ?

Would be dissapointing if Maye does not have a better career than Herbert. At least the Herbert to this point. Herbert certainly has the physical strengths needed to win. I question how clutch he is and his two awful postseason outings to this point.

I used to think having an elite QB was enough to win a SB. I don't anymore. Not after watching teams like Buffalo, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and the Chargers the past few years.

Has anyone done the computations to see if the Chargers lose today, do they still have a reason to beat Denver next week?
Thought I saw someone here post no.
I don't quite get that -there's a bunch of teams either 11-4 or 10-5; chargers,texans,jags,bills. Seems they should be able to get better seed by beating Denver than by losing.
I really don't feel like looking at all those teams schedules and figuring it out if someone here already has.
Also looking fir a reason to hope fir #1 seed if chargers lose today.

I don’t think so. The division would be gone. Wild card seeding is not very motivating. I think the #5 seed would be too (to play Pittsburgh)

If a wild card lower than the Bills at #5 wins, we get the Bills in round 2. But avoid the Texans - who would be that wild card winner
