Leaves Bolden, Gaffney backing up Blount. Saw Gaffney promoted last week. Lewis return imminent.

I think he was really willing to wait for his chance here. There were reportedly offers before - hence pay raise - but when he saw they signed Gaffney ahead of him (although I still believe for tactical reasons) - and especially when he saw Lewis coming back to practice - he saw his chance will have to be elswhere.

PS
and Knile Davis available ..

That's a nice thought, but even with the raise, he's making less than half of the NFL minimum on the practice squad. It would be hard to say no to any NFL team regardless of how much you love your current one.

that means charles and ware are banged up

Glad Gaffney is back in the fold gives a us another capable between the Tackles runner in case LeGerre breaks down..

dude sucked anyway.....

gaffney on the other hand, is awesome

Blount, White, Gaffney, Bolden, soon Lewis. They will be fine.
Gaffney was promoted ahead of Sankey.

It's not like losing a Pro Bowler during a Super Bowl run...

If he was going to get a chance, it would've come before Lewis came back. Makes sense for him and the team. If there's anywhere I'd bet on him succeeding given the opportunity, it's KC. They churn out RBs.

Charles missed the last game and went to see a surgeon afterward re: his knee, and Ware got a concussion. They're definitely hurting at RB, makes sense that they'd bring someone in since they don't have a whole lot after West right now.

Well, shoot. Would've liked to develop him in the system for a year. Oh well.

Maybe he was insurance in case Lewis had another setback?

Nope. Knile's a Packer.
