Sam Bradford traded to Vikings

It's too true that Bradford is the Jeff Fisher of QBs neither have done really anything note worthy in either of the past decades yet...here we are still regarded highly.

I agree with the above posters, the long term prognosis for Bridgewater's return must be fairly negative. And I'm sorry if that's the case; he looked like a dynamic young quarterback with a solid upside. Hope he can come back from this and play for a long time.

Even so, is Sam Bradford the answer? Don't think so, especially for the price they paid to get him. They must be celebrating in Philly! Got rid of a high priced guy that they didn't even want and got a haul for him.

Shocked by the trade, Sam Bradford fainted and injured himself.

Conspiracy Theory:

The fix is in. Bradford traded for a 1st rounder. Now, where is the draft being held this coming year and before this trade, who didn't have a first round pick? Muwahahahahahahaha, yes I went there.

I just tried to check out a Vikings forum, but it timed out.

At least there are enough Vikings fans left, who couldn't find a tall building, to crash their server.

That's an awful lot to give up for 30 hand offs a game to Adrian Peterson.

Schefter is reporting that the 4th is conditional.

Still a bad deal in my opinion. If I were a Vikings fan, I'd be irate.

What a reversal of fortunes by Philly. The seemingly idiotic move of overpaying Bradford, then overpaying backup Chase Daniel, then also trading up to draft Carson Wentz, now looks genius after getting a 1st and 4th for Bradford...

So what happens when, to no one's surprise, Bradford gets injured?

Now the Vikings are without a QB OR a 1st round pick, and they get to have a lost season while the Eagles pick a franchise QB with the Vikings pick, and the Vikings get back on the "expend years and draft capital treadmill" trying to find another QB.

Friends don't let friends become Vikings fans!

A 1st for Bradford? That's crazy yo.

I listen to WIP a lot n have numerous Eagle fans. To say that ANY team gave up a #1 for Bradford is being met with amazement

Sad dose of reality but it at least makes the trade tolerable at best.

I'm not so sure about this. I think they're all in on this year. They already have a very talented roster, so losing a 1st isn't as huge of a gamble.

I think this is because of AP and his age. AP probably only has one big year left. I think they're wanting to not waste this year that they have with AP.

Yeah, I 100% agree with you. I was just about to post the exact same thing.

The Vikings window is now. They don't want to throw away a year of it. Bradford is only signed through next season, and I believe the majority of his guaranteed money has already been paid out. There's not much commitment for the Vikings beyond this season. This isn't a long-term answer, this is a more of a one-year rental.

And possibly two years if need be. Bradford is on a two year deal, and the second year can be optional from what I'm hearing.

Is this actually the best deal the Vikings could get for a 1st and a 4th? Rivers, Glennon, Mallett just to name a few.

I guess Goodell is a good negotiator, he got the GOAT for the same price.

Too much. What the hell are they thinking? You just lost your QB to injury and you give your #1 pick for one of the most fragile QBs in the league. I understand they are in win now mode, but jeez, the Vikings got fleeced. If he can stay healthy it might work out but seems just too high risk for this deal.
