Saints vs Vikings Game Discussion

Agreed and even more correct as I was wrong on recalling the amount of time left - 10 seconds remained at the start of the play. That makes the Saints tighter D formation understandable. This was 43's responsibility to just make the tackle and he just completely blew it. He didn't need to break the pass up, just make the tackle on the spot.
The slo-mo replay is even worse for 43. He also takes his own teammate, #20, out of the play who was slightly more than 2 yards from the receiver and already had some momentum toward the receiver (while the receiver's momentum was more toward the sideline). #20 definitely has a chance to make tackle to at minimum force an approx. 45 FG try.
No way they can get a FGA off in the remaining seconds, if the receiver is tackled in bounds short of the goal line. No TOs remaining, not enough time to clock it and certainly not enough to get the kicker on the field and lined up.

Now i gotta hear how the Vikings's gonna be a cinderella team and going to win it all. I think the eagles can give them a game.

In fact, that was one of the rare cases where breaking up the pass is worse than a tackle after the completion (so long as it was in-bounds).
A Belichick coached poster right there guys.

Wow...that Saints DB might be the biggest sissy i've ever seen on a football field. What a loser.

It was a terrible play but he's a young guy. He actually has had a good year for the saints. I feel for the guy. He's probably getting killed on IG and twitter. Hope saints fans take it easy on him.

I'm sorry to the Saints, but...how can you not ****ing love Football?

I got goosebumps and other than the spread I was not even remotely emotionally invested in this game.

2nd half of that game is why you watch and love the game. So happy for Minnesota. Genuinely happy for them.

What a play man wow.

I didn’t look at it till just now

Look at how full the stands are with 10 seconds, no timeouts and like 60 yards to go. I gotta think a lot of stadiums people would be doing that 'make their way into the aisle watching the game end while leaving' thing.

My sister and bro in law live in St. Paul and went to the game, about a half hour after the end he called me and said no one is leaving the stadium and everyone was dancing in the aisles...

My sister in law and bro in law live in NOLA and were texting throughout the game, at one point they turned it off, and I told them the score.. they were down in the dumps big time after the game.

Those folks who say that the NFL has lost relevance, nothing is further from the truth.. if you are a fan, this was a great game...

After the incompletion the play before, they showed Keenum and I thought, "that guy looks completely lost."

But then I saw the locker room video after the game and --- I guess that's just his look.

Anyway, great play, really good weekend of football. And the shakeup at the top -- except that one constant (NE) -- shows just how amazing this Patriots run is.

Not even close to this level of awfulness.
Nah, it may be just as bad or worse actually. People are just saying Marcus Williams’ error was worse because it JUST happened yesterday. They’re pretty neck and neck.

#43 should go into hiding. Go learn how to tackle you bum.
Not even tackle. All he had to do was maintain position or push him out of bounds and game over.

No recency bias, I just disagree. Moore simply misjudged the ball, Williams ducked under the receiver (presumably to avoid a DPI) and then dove completely out of the play, when a mere wrap up tackle after the catch likely ends the game.

As I said before, they aren't even close.

That kid shouldn’t hang his head too low, he made a nice pick earlier that helped them get back in the game.

Coaches probably told him to make sure he didn't commit PI, which would have stopped the clock.
