Any basis for this?

Nothing solid--just a hunch. I was at the game and he was grimacing in pain on the bench and as he was carried into the locker room. He could put no weight on his leg. It did not look like any calf injury I have ever seen. Certainly hope I'm wrong.

I hope he doesn't get suspended because this man was giving out some hits in the preseason

S Brown he bizzack:rocker::rocker:

I'm somewhat surprised that this special teamer wasn't brought up a bit earlier, but it is good to see him on the 53. In the end, we replaced a veteran special teamer with a rookie. The loss of Page will be a serious one only if Sanders is limitedx in his play. Page is a much better safety than Brown.

Safety will be important this week, playing a team that makes a huge % of its yards on long pass plays.

Losing Page of a long period of time will be a huge bummer. The team already has lost its share of significant players.

Well, no MD here, but even calf cramps can be excruciatingly painful, and they're just cramps. I don't think pain translates into recovery time, that's more related to tendon and ligament tears.

You're right of course. Any player who has never played a geme COULD be the best player who ever playerd. This is especially true for undrafted free agents who the team has not good enough to be on the initial 53 and who no one else has chose to put on their 53. It might also snow tomorrow.

???????????????

How can you say that without ever seeing Brown play a regular season game?

Was definitely not cramps. Cripes, the guy did not even show up at practice all week. Ever hear of anyone being out a week with cramps? Only calf injury I can imagine is a ruptured muscle. I'll be surprised to see him in teh next few weeks. We'll see.

So you're saying a rookie can't just come in and be a solid player? Page isn't exactly an elite Safety

Did I say it was cramps? I said calf cramps are extremely painful. You're the one that wants to play doctor based on what you observe from the stands, so good luck with that. I assume you went to medical school.

I didn't say that at all, I merely stated what is known.

Another piece of evidence would be the behavior of one of the best front offices in football when they needed a safety.

If they, who had Brown in camp and observed him, agreed with you, they would have simply put Brown on the roster.

Instead, they went to the extra effort to find and trade for Page. So your argument is with Belichick.

Didn't say you said so. Just pointing out that it's not. Chill dude.

Props to Sergio for playing a pretty damn good game, all things considered.
He didn't miss nearly as many tackles as I've already seen from Arrington, Butler, Meriweather, Page & Sanders.

Still, if I believed in God, I would be praying to Him to let Chung have just a day-to-day injury, and not a torn ligament/cartilage, as I fear.

Sergio Brown had a fine day.
