One is a first round rookie draft pick while the other is the best CB in the league. The comparisons are really quite ridiculous. If anything, McCourty should be compared to Leigh Bodden right now.

This goes back a ways, but the Patriots drafted Bob Cryder, a OL from Alabama in the late 1970's. When some someone asked Bear Bryant to comment about him, Bryant said that he really couldn't figure out why the Patriots had taken him in the first round. So once in a while, you may get a candid comment from former coach. Maybe once every 30 years or so.
