We don't need Benson, the only 2 RB's mentioned that are game changers are Forte and J-Stewart. I would rather just have Vereen, Ridley and Woodhead if neither of those two (JStew/Forte) are available.

I wouldnt mind bringing in a veteran running back but this guy is not it.

And to show how little I feel the need is I would be more than happy if that veteran guy was Faulk.

IMO it is time to turn the RB position over to the kids we drafted last year and see what they can do. I think having someone like Woody allows us to do this as we know woody can do alot in this offense and IMO his only knock is durablity (not that he has shown it to be a problem) based on his size it is hard to envision him taking alot of reps.

Two reasons why Faulk makes sense he would be a solid backup for Woody who plays an important role in this offesne and Faulk last year seemed like his wheels were gone but he will now be two offseasons removed from ACL injury and while he will never be what he once was maybe he gains a little shiftiness back and can be of value.

Considering they paid BJGE a good wage, it doesn't seem the coaches were to happy with Benson either.

This guy is not going to be a Patriot. He has trouble with the law on a couple of occasions over the past few years. No chance that BB will take on this guy. He is only one incident away from a suspension.

I'm not that high on him either but it seems like the type of signing they could make. Michael Bush would have been a good fit, How about Tim Hightower? I'd be on board with trading for Jonathan Stewart.

Assuming he checks out healthy (his injury was last October) Hightower would be my first choice for a veteran RB that is actually available as of today. Hightower is supposed to be good at both pass blocking and receiving. He's only 25, has never been overused (523 rushes, 128 receptions in four seasons), and he's not injury prone (he hadn't missed a single NFL game prior to the injury). I know his numbers weren't great in either his rookie season or last year, but in both cases his OL was pretty bad.
