10 more years. Guess he'll be playing from a wheelchair.

He’d have to entirely reinvent his playing style to survive that long.

Great, let me get this down....SuperBowl 45... Oh Wait...I've got a better idea... Instead of SuperBowl 45...How about we send you a hobo's ****cheese.

Brady accepts the challenge and will now play through age 52.

Once those legs are gone the BOAT sinks. His sandlot draw the next play on his palm days will be over.

He can’t even stay on the field now.

Whats with the Rodgers hate on Patsfans.com?

Only been posting here for 1.5ish years...any history I missed? I mean I get the Manning hate....but Rodgers is a likeable dude, no? Great player too....

I'll initially read it as " Rodgers says he'll retire after winning SB 45" and he did that already so retire,go away.... Spend some time with your family...oh wait.......

ha I find Rodgers to be incredibly unlikable. I've felt that way for a long time, but over the last few years he's continuously given me even more reasons not to like him

No. Read up on the guy. He can't get along with his own family, his coaches or his teammates. He appears to have an incredible ego that outwieghs his skills on the field, which are considerable, but not all that.

You're in a thread about Rodgers proclaiming he will win the SB and ride off into the sunset, and you need reasoning why Rodgers is disliked on a Pats board? Ok

Personally I don't have quite the disdain I've had for other players or fans, but I do find Rodgers play style and overall skill to be overrated by some.

Is he great? Sure. Is he the GOAT, or actually even close? Hell no IMO. There's also a lot of horror stories surrounding how he handles himself and interacts with other people, basically the polar opposite of how people speak about Brady.

I think overall, people are just tired of the media and a lot of nfl fans propping up Rodgers on a pedestal he hasn't come close to earning yet.

Point taken.

Personally, I feel most of the BS is media fabricated and that he has a difficult relationship with his family..but otherwise he's pretty good on TV and a great player (shrugs)....I think there are more worthy people to hate on, but its all in the eye of the beholder...

It’s a lot to do with the idea that leadership, clutch play, and being a good teammate is irrelevant, as many “Rodgers > Brady” idiots seem to think in merely isolating statistics.

That said, I’m guessing his quote was more tongue in cheek, or in other words, “leave me alone about retirement questions...I’m not Andrew Luck, and there’s nothing to see here.”

" The great and heroic Aaron Rodgers once was injured during the first half of a game by an evil no do gooder. As he was being carted off the field the stadium lost all hope for the rest of the season. Players bowed their heads and cried. Coaches threw down their play cards and clipboards in frustration. Armageddon felt near. The fans in the stadium, bless their hearts, held hands and began to pray. And their prayers were answered. As miraculously as Jesus rose again Aaron returned after half time to a thunderous ovation. " Our prayers have been answered!" cried some. " Our savior has returned!!" cried others. The comeback that ensued was one of biblical proportions. A blind fan in the stadium claimed he could now see. Crackers turned into cheese. Empty water bottles over flowed with beer. If I hadn't seen these holy gifts from God myself I would have never believed it. A true sign from God that Aaron is the chosen one.

Hence forth I proclaim September 9th as Cheaster Sunday.

May Aaron bless you. "

Sincerely,

Joe Buck

You have to watch this cringy Chris Simms interview with him. It's painful to watch.

I don't hate him but I also do not root for him
