He stands tall as one of the greats in the annals of Boston Red Sox Baseball history

And relatively young.
Would have been the 1988 AL MVP if not for Jose Canseco, who later admitted he had been taking steroids/HgH since 1984.

Carried on the long Red Sox LF tradition:

Jim Rice 1975-1987
Mike Greenwell 1987-1996
