11 pages of thread, and you guys are all barking up the wrong tree.

The explanation is simple.

In Tubby-speak, "high ceiling" actually means "pretty feet".

Make sense now ?

Keep hope alive, Rex, keep hope alive.

Sounds like a guy that realizes how badly he goofed and is trying to cover his azz. Good luck with that!

Probably because "ceiling" is usually misleading, if not complete garbage, once players have had time to be judged on the NFL playing field. Generally speaking, "ceiling" refers to unfulfilled potential that the beholder thinks he/she sees, and is almost always based upon the measurables that so many failed prospects have had. Arguing "ceiling", JaMarcus Russell should still be in the NFL, because his "ceiling" is higher than Tom Brady's.

Follow up:

Joe McKnight has 134 rushing yards and a 3.1 ypa.

Hell of a ceiling this year....
