No it's a big deal if it is fully torn and requires surgery. it is not a big deal if it is partially torn. then doctors generally take the rout of no surgery and letting it heal

The MCL isn't a big deal. In fact, many times, if its torn, the doctors don't bother with surgery. They just let it heal..
