Sometimes, the Patriots being quiet is a good thing! We didn't know the Patriots signed Amendola on tuesday! Have faith!

I've heard nothing on Talib so I feel like we might be getting him
maybe Vollmer too.

All for it. I wasn't really for signing Talib until I saw the top FA corners getting deals in the $5M, $6M per year range. So Talib in the $4M per range and incentive based would be a great contract for us, since he did call it football heaven here I think that price may be a possibility.

Are you a new fan? Because most pats fans know they don't do much the first week in FA...always been like this besides 2007. This is nothing new....

The difference this time is that even on day 23 you could have gotten some good players in a position of need (CB) with for example Cox or Lewis

I'd rather have Wilson than Reed.
Wilson is the closest thing we will see to another Rodney Harrison.
Wilson ability to do EVERYTHING a safety does is just what we need.
He will be a tremendous weapon as a blitzer out of sub packages, something we haven't seen since Rodney, and have missed.

Reed is a sexy pick but not realistic.

Most teams in the league play two safeties of indistinguishable position because the run heavy safety (strong safety) would be targeted in the passing game and vise versa.

I would like the Pats to sign a safety move him next to Gregory and then use McCourty as the second corner behind Talib. I feel that the reason he failed at corner early on in his career was because of the poor safety help behind him, if they can get two veteran safeties I would move him back to his original position of corner.

He has just a good a pedigree as Rodney. Big SS, 4x All Pro, 25 sacks and 25 interceptions. People view him as declined and washed up, but itd be sweet if he could revive himself here for a couple of years.

I can't see where he fits. He was benched from the Cards' subpackages last year for being a liability in coverage. He was basically a two-down, run-specialist SS for them last year. Unless he can improve quite a bit in coverage from last season, he's not what the Pats need.
