Report from Buffalo

Always love the post game live reviews, thanks.
That missed field goal by Buffalo had to be weirdest I've ever seen. At first I thought he shanked it, then it went across just like a boomerang. How did it look from your seats?

It just looked low and veered right. The wind made most kicks look pretty squirrely.

Thanks for the report, Tune. How did the Gost miss look? I swore that on TV it looked good. Was it short?

I had the perfect angle and it definitely was a wide miss.

I was sitting on the far 30 yard line (i.e. the opposite end of the field) 8 rows up, on Gost's left side, and I got to see the ball go up then veer right dramatically and I could see lots of space between the ball and the goalposts. He missed it by 4 or 5 yards to the right.

I was actually disappointed in Gost for that kick because it was long enough but was just completely blown sideways. I was out there early watching him kick from 20 yards, and each and every one of his kicks did the EXACT same thing earlier in the game. He needed to adjust, the way college kickers do, by angling into the kick.

It got blown so badly to the right that he might have had to aim left by the entire width of the goal posts. It's probably real hard for a kicker to do that psychologically speaking in the heat (cold?) of the game. The Ghost has one to tell his grandkids about someday.

thks for the report - i always love to read the 'road' reports

It looked like this

I was just looking again at my game photo's and it turns out, my son (a budding photographer wanna be) snapped a picture of that miss. I thought it was a great shot as I saw it now. I was actually watching the game, but as you can see from our angle (sec 108, row 30), we couldn't see wide left or right, but I can say the kick was def. long enough.

That FG attempt would have been a perfect opportunity for a fake kick & run by the Ghost. The ball is snapped to Hanson, who then pitches/hands the ball to Ghost, who runs off Left Tackle behind a pulling RG; or Ghost gets the snap directly.

Please tell me that BB & Seeley at least practice fake kicks/punts, even if I haven't seen one since the Vinitraitor threw to Troy Brown @ Saint Louis. Their lack of trickerations remind me of BB's piss-poor excuse for not going for the season-changing 2PC against the Jest: "Well, we already used our best one earlier in the game..." Whaat?
