One will find themselves a lot more empowered, secure, honest, and ultimately content, if they are willing to acknowledge/accept the reality that humans are imperfect, including their idols.
Brady didn't sexually abuse someone, or murder puppies. No one has to reach the conclusion that he's a morally depraved person, or anywhere close. I'm sure he's a good person in many more ways than he's a flawed person, but he does in fact have flaws, and as the past several months have shown, he's not quite as balanced/well-adjusted as we were led to believe.
Plugging one's ears and refusing to acknowledge reality isn't a good look, and will only make the person taking that approach more insecure and less happy ... at least in my experience.
The irony is that Brady himself - as evidenced by his comments to Jim Gray - has engaged in self-reflection and shared those thoughts openly. He may not regret any decisions, but I'm sure he's aware of the role his own actions/behaviors had in taking his marriage to the place it now is - he said as much. He's not a stupid guy and he seems to be pretty introspective. If he'd change anything, I'm not sure, but he'd be the first person to tell you he isn't perfect and has made choices that have led to outcomes he didn't want, both in general, and specifically with regard to this marriage.
