Reordering Patriots’ cornerback depth chart after E.J. Biggers signing

I would be surprised if we didn't address the cb position with one of our first picks come draft time.

So hard to predict what they'll do and/or what'll be there (and of course there's other needs) but agree that cb is a concern.

Harmon and Ryan were not round 1 and 2 draft picks. I am specifically talking about all DBs drafted in round 1 and 2 over last 10 years and how DMC was the only one we re-signed past his rookie contract.

Let's consider other positions by that criterion.

DL -- None, unless Vince was that recent. Warren was definitely longer ago than that.
LB -- Mayo is the only one, although we think there will be more soon.
DB -- McCourty, as you observed, if we exclude the special case of Chung.
OL -- Solder & Vollmer, unless Mankins makes it in under the wire time-wise.
TE -- Gronk.
WR -- None.
RB -- None.
QB -- None.
K/P/LS -- Does not apply.

If we were to listen to @Biffins , then players like Chandler Jones, Brandon Meriweather, Patrick Chung and Brandon Spikes are busts because they didn't last with the Patriots beyond their first contract.

The 5 in Bold are ones I consider to be BUSTS. They just never did anything on the field despite chances.

And some of these were injured. It is hard to predict injuries. Obviously, we don't want to avoid players (like Gronk) who were injured in college.
