REISS: Patriots Have had internal discussions about uniform tweak

There's not accounting for taste. They're awful and I have no doubt this is the last season I have to sit through these abominations.

Thankfully, your concept of taste is in the minority. If uniforms bother you that much, watch out for things like weather, traffic jams and mandatory fees.

You think I'm in the minority on the current uniforms?

Lol

I knew this was coming. I think being historically accurate is as unimportant as oh I don’t know, wearing pat patriot all the time.
JB Orthwein started it when he implemented his marketing genius in '93. Being a local guy who'd followed and loved the Patriots his whole life, along with his personal determination to keep the Patriots in New England, his total understanding of sports and sports history and unanimous support from all Patriots fans qualified him to do this no-brainer. He knew that the Flutieless years from 1990-92 represent the essence of Patriots history for their entire existence and that 1960-1989 are meaningless.

Sarcasm aside, he was also too busy to ever even glance at the Pat Patriot logo worn for 32 years and thus notice its historical accuracy along with its anachronistic sport appropriate prop and position, it's aesthetic uniqueness, awesomeness and happy, determined demeanor. The fact that opponents and their fans like everybody loved the uniforms despite hating Boston was also weird to him and he couldn't accept that.

Plus like all Americans he's ashamed of the mostly red American flag and he prefers to conform to primary blue so the team can be like the rest of over half the league. It's best to be undistinguishable, bland, vapid, lifeless, dreary, sad and dull. It makes it easier to promote the brand effectively.

They better be giving us a complete overhaul next season now that the 5 year window is about to expire.

I can't stand their current uniforms.
These are complete ****! USA Today has them the 3rd worst in the NFL. Just when I thought their uniforms unveiled in 2000 couldn't get any worse, they doubled down. I do think a re-design is incoming.

While their alternate's are ranked #2. @Actual Pats Fan will appreciate this.

The Bucs' (real) logo and uniforms are tremendous.

Even with their much much greater years of futility, they still managed some playoff teams, success and stars.

The animosity toward Culverhouse is similar to that toward Sullivan, and both local media outlets and fan bases bitterly share it. This is largely what supports their unfortunate makeovers.

From a strictly football perspective, both never should have committed identity suicide. The fans who are bitter about the losing just don't want to be happy in their lives. They don't root for the team, hope for the best, and be happy to have had the chance to compete.

That's a joke article. Just one guy riffing on his own nonsense.

Here's my vote for the next Patriots logo:

At least I know you don't know what you're talking about.

They're ridiculous and may the rot. One year left.

I love 'em. They look fast, sharp and imposing. Easy target on the field as well for the passing game. They only have been wearing them since 2020, a change seems unnecessary this early.

Those pants were leftovers from the color rush blue/blues. The actual pants they wear don't have the thick white stripe. They tweaked the pants after releasing these images,

Fans that actually like these are in the minority. This board has been complaining about the uniforms for years and media has regarding them among the worst. They need to go back to the royal blue that popped or the Pat Patriot red.

I think I heard a while back that a re-design was being talked about.

Ya I'm not sure where he's getting his take from. He likes them that's fine but I don't think anyone can claim that those who don't like it are in the minority.

I actually thought it was well accepted that these were abominations and worse yet they are associated with a losing era.

I can't wait until they're gone.

Believe it or not, there are tons more Patriots fans than the relative few perusing this website. Regardless, you and @Actual Pats Fan should get together and start a support group. You might call it Football Uniform Trauma Survivors Anonymous (FUTSA).

Dude check out the jackets the Patriots are wearing on the sidelines

The all blue home unis are pretty bad. The league-wide trend toward single color uniforms has been a major aesthetic mistake, we're going to look back on them like we did all those weird polyester baseball uniforms from the 70s.

The road unis are ok. They are kind of blocky looking and I don't like the white stripe in the pants.
