Red Sox sign Trevor Story!!

Projected opening day line up (according to NESN):

Opening Day Lineup
1. Kiké Hernández CF
2. Rafael Devers 3B
3. Xander Bogaerts SS
4. J.D. Martinez DH
5. Trevor Story 2B
6. Alex Verdugo LF
7. Bobby Dalbec 1B
8. Christian Vasquez C
9. Jackie Bradley Jr. RF

If Story hits 2nd, and pushes everyone else down, it creates three rabbits in a row when Bradley gets on. That's a huge stressor for opposing pitchers.

Yaz? Lynn? Evans?
JBJ covers more ground, IMO. Yaz knew the wall better than anyone, Lynn made the spectacular plays, Evans had a cannon. JBJ is just nasty out there. Can't hit much better than me, tho.

Lynn would have been a HoF'er if he stayed here. Discuss.

I don't think boxer is old enough to remember those guys.
lol, I'm 54

Speak just defensively, and in my opinion, JBJ is better than Yaz, Lynn, and Evans.

Better all around defensively than Yaz, and its not even close
Better arm than Lynn and covers more ground in the OF. Lynn made unreal plays no doubt
Better covering ground than Evans and probably a push when it comes to arm strength

lol ok. i wasn't sure.

Yep, wherever the lowest spot in a batting order is, that's where JBJ should go... If he's in the lineup at all...
Ever noticed JBJ always had one multi-week stretch during each season when he just mashed the ball and pitchers couldn't get the guy out.

My working theory:
He waited to clear his in-season drug test, then used the brief window to PED up before going cold turkey again for fear of the next test.

Hope he still has connections
