I agree. They're still lefty-heavy.
2 things that would help is Story staying healthy for the season,lol, and Campbell being so good in ST they have to put him on the roster. To me that's a longshot because he's hardly played in the minors
even though he was awesome. Probably needs more seasoning. But ya never know.
I think this team can definitely make the playoffs but is a year away from being serious contenders from winning it all.
But at least finally a step in the right direction. Kinda how I felt when the Pats drafted Maye.

The whole "need more righties vs lefties" in the lineup is overblown.

vs LHP last year they had the same OBP and averaged more HR per ABs than vs RHPs. OPS was higher vs righties but not by much.

This is a good lineup. 5 lefties vs 4 righties.

I agree with the sentiment, though I wonder if he was told of this possibility earlier than this past fortnight, to help get his mind & body better-prepared…

Good point. Maybe not, since it didn't look like Boston was gonna get Bregman until they actually got him.
I like how Cora has handled this. Not overreacting, but definitely letting everyone know he's the boss and the decision will he whatever's in the teams best interest. Bregman has handled it with class,as expected.
I thought it was big when Cora reminded everyone that Bloom is no longer with the org.( he's the one who stupidly promised Devers he'd stay at 3rd).
So Cora has let players speak their minds but also let them know what's what.
I'm a big Big Papi fan but I agree with Cora that what Ortiz said is not helping.
It'll all sort out. They don't want to alienate Devers since he's the best hitter on the team and they need him to make the playoffs this year. Devers M.O. has always been he wants everyone to like him. He has to know most fans don't right now,not to mention teammates. So there's hope it all works out.
