Horrible playcalling and horrible special teams once again was our downfall in this one. Not to mention you can add horrible hands of the receivers in this one too.

We lost the game in this one in a fashion that we never lose in. Constant dumb play ended up costing us badly.

Any one else feel that the playcalling was a bit scared in this one? Bill showed no confidence in his defense with all the onside kicks, not to mention once again playing safe with the ball with almost two minutes left.

Where did this come from?

I think the terrible OL play has something to do with it.

Losing Gronk is the last piece to fall. Pats will not be able to probably go .500 the rest of the way out without him.

While this is all true, the special teams has largely been among the best in football all season. The fumbled punt last week was an aberration, and today was just a ****show of awful results--pick 6, two special teams TD's.

The Pats SHOULD have won the game, as the better team, but they didn't execute and made critical, game-changing mistakes. BB coached teams generally don't do that, but it happens. It sucks, but it happens.

Can't do much about the bad hands though, they lost their best receiving options when Lewis then Edelman then Gronk went down. When you go to those 4th and 5th options more, as the #2/#3 options all of a sudden, it's just not gonna be the same.

The silver lining: no injuries! Get this team healthy, fingers crossed that Edelman gets back in time and I don't care if they're a 1 seed or a 6 seed, this team is too good when healthy and those dumb-**** special teams plays just don't happen much for BB-coached teams.

the line is garbage..now kline is out.
special teams sucked again.

that's why we lost. bradford had 120 yards passing

Damn Gronk being out hurts but I'm reallllly missing Edelman right now.

Can't rush Gronk back tho. I'd rather take the lumps until the playoffs. If we get him and Jules back for January I'll take it. No one said repeating as champs was easy.

I'm worried the most about the line.

It seems like, unlike last year, that they just aren't getting better even with guys coming back. It seems like they're only getting worse and worse..

I don't think the onside kick had anything to do with the defense. Overall the defense played fairly well only giving up 14 points (although the Eagles' offense wasn't on the field for the 3rd quarter).

I think Belichick thought if the Pats recovered the onside kick, it would have been a dagger in the heart of the Eagles. When you are up 14-0, it is a stupid risk.

Up 14 pts just kick it deep after TD. Had Eagles on ropes and going through motions with that TD pass to 'Dola. Brady had a flow going with those two TD tosses and momentum shifted and eagles D came alive.

And it seemed like it started an avalanche the other way.

just keep telling yourself: It's just one game. BAD games happen. EVERYTHING that could have went wrong, did, including the team looking like they were about to give up late in the 3rd quarter. The fact that they fought back the way they did is encouraging at least.

Can't run the ball. We have a 38yr old qb who is getting smooshed. Gotta find a way to run the ball. Gotta do it, look at Carolina. Their run game sets up patty cake throws. Why would anyone fall for a play fake from this team. Clue, they aren't!

Talk about Murphy's Law! All three phases. And with that being said, we still had a chance to tie it up go in OT. Proud to be a Pat's Fan, they showed 'Never Say Quit' gutted it out to last second led by Brady BIGGEST heart of all.

Back to back games we should have won.

14-2 should get us HFA. Let's just sweep this under the carpet and win out. Season starts next week at Houston. On to Houston!!!

I still don't know why we're not trying running White on regular downs.

The good news here is that the one position you can pick up off the street late in the year is RB. Maybe we can check out what's out there.

Losing to the Eagles in your own home....how embarrassing
