Hey, I'm not saying give up on RBBC. Just saying here's a great chance to upgrade the level of talent, and inject some youth. Rookie contracts are generally very affordable, after the first few picks. It's only once they hit UFA that things get really pricey.
Honestly, I think BJGE is a legit starting RB if that's what we want. He's good for 25 carries and 125 yards in most any game. if we feed him. So, in drafting Ingram it would be to upgrade what we have today, not switch from our current team approach. Talk about a luxury pick!!
Our OL and DL are actually not all that bad off. Connolly has been the best surprise of the season, so far, and Vollmer has overachieved for a young player. Brace seems to be progressing very well, and TWarren will be back next year. What are we hoping an early pick will do for us on the lines? We're looking pretty okay. Even if Mankins doesn't resolve and Neal retires, I feel pretty good we can backfill without spending a 1st rounder at the position.
