''Yes, we could be enticed to move that pick before we get to the 13th," Baltimore general manager Ozzie Newsome said. ''Our trade-down scenario is always if there are three or four guys we really like, and we have an opportunity to move back and still get one of those guys, plus add an additional pick -- again, from an organizational standpoint -- that is the right thing to do."

Sounds exactly like the Value Grouping Rookboston describes, doesn't it. Now where would a guy like Ozzie ever get ahold of a BB draft concept?

The whole value grouping concept might have been best elaborated by Belichik, he might even have given it its name, but I don't think it's his invention.

Belichik's invention is that the Patriots actually do it.

PS- BB doesn't have as much discipline as the Vikings, who will just refuse to pick in the first round if they think everybody's a reach.... but he does what we can.
