Ravens' Fans' Messagboard - "Which Brady Will Show Up?"

I love it they think they are a team of destiny. Destiny doesn't happen to a double murderer. They just got caught up in the what the Pats need to happen usually happens. What the Pats needed last week was a Raven win.

Since we're talking about something written on their boards, I'm sure Ravens fans are reading us right now, so:

- Ray Lewis stabbed a dude to death, he should be in jail and the fact that your whole fanbase idolizes him makes you all bad human beings whose children I feel really, really sorry for.

- You gave Trent Dilfer a ring, and so this ginger-bearded doofus became relevant enough to be hired by ESPN and make ridiculous comments week in and week out. Oh, and he's also the first guy mentioned whenever a team with a ****ty QB goes far into the playoffs. So **** you for that one.

- Art Modell was a thief, a crook and a liar. Wearing a patch with that dude's name on your helmets is like the Germany national soccer team sporting an "AH" on their uniform.

- You have absolutely no history as a franchise. Where do your fans come from? Were they Colts fans? Did they all bandwagon towards you after the 2000 Superbowl? Are they sad sack Cleveland Browns fans? I mean, I know thugs and murderers are naturally drawn to the Baltimore Ravens, but I'd like to know the origins of the remainder of your fanbase.

- Ed Reed's beard. It looks stupid.

- Joe Flacco is the best quarterback in your franchise's history. Yeah, "Elite" Joe Flacco. As if that's not sad enough, Elvis Grbac probably ranks on the top 5.

- "The Blindside" was a terrible ******* movie, and you all should be ashamed of it's existence. What other mediocre NFL RT will have a film made about him next? I can already see it: The Turnstile: The Story of Wayne Hunter.

- Did Terrell Suggs murder an infant and made dentures out of it's teeth as some sort of bizarre token of his kill? Seriously, what the **** is up with that?

:D

We really need a 'Goldmine' subforum where posts like this can go. bravo.

Real idiots out there.

The one that is way better than Joe Flacco even on his worst days. The false sense of confidence Ravens fans have is funny. They should feel good bc the Ravens defense does well against Brady, but their defense isn't the same as it used to be. They should be more worried about which Joe Flacco shows up.

As soon as the word "Spygate" is used, the following occurs:

  1. Poster loses any shred of credibility they may have
  2. Every point in the post, valid or not, is officially "null and void"
  3. I have to tie my hands down to keep me from posting a response...BUT I WILL NOT TAKE THE BAIT (although I suppose since it's their forum, I've baited myself)

I don't know. That Ravens fan using Spygate to build his argument shows what a genius level deep thinker he is.

He cites games from 01, 02, 03 to show how terrible Brady is. Then claims that the overblown controversy was significantly pumping up Brady's stats during that period.

Here's a hint - If it was really that helpful, Brady's stats would have been much better then compared to now.

Yes it does. It's called HELL!!:scared:

You know, I run into people all the time around here (imagine that), where they say "I dont like Brady, but..." ...As a matter of fact, earlier today it happened. And I asked "why", because he's good. And he actually replied, Yes! I truely believe that nobody likes a perennial winner. They love you when you are the underdog, ie 2001 Brady. But they dont like when you win all the time. It's human nature. But, you know it's really fun to be hated and winning, than to be liked and watching your opposition in the playoffs. :singing: Enjoy the ride!!

Everyone can have a bad game once in a while. Brady didn't have a really good game against the Ravens last year in the play offs. I certainly hope that he will perform better this year. But with a much improved Run offence, which we now can rely much more on. I think Brady will show up. Ravens are still a good team, and it will be tight, but the run will take som pressure of Brady and then he can shredd their defense :rocker:

I believe the Brady who is gonna pick you appart all day...run up the score and generally KICK THE LIVIN S*IT out of the Ravens will be the one who shows up,,,

It's funny that they pointed out the rating. What about your super-elite QB, Joe Flacco? I mean, there is nothing to worry about his rating, right?

100+ passer rating games, reg. season and playoffs, since 2001 (Brady's 1st year as starter)
Code:
[B]QB #G[/B]
Tom Brady 92
Peyton Manning 85
Drew Brees 78
Brett Favre 64
Phillip Rivers 55
.
.
.

65 or less passer rating game, reg. season and playoffs, since 2008 (Flacco's 1st year as starter)
Code:
[B]QB #G[/B]
Mark Sanchez 24
Joe Flacco 23
Matt Hasselbeck 21
Jay Cutler 20
Ryan Fitzpatrick 18
.
.
.

If it wasn't for Sanchez's outstanding effort (7 such games in 3 out 4 years in the league), Flacco would be the leader.

For the record, Tom Brady has 23 reg. season & PS starts with a 65 or less rating, while Flacco has the same in 107 starts less.

As usual, haters gonna hate.

Guess they didn't see the humor in the Pollard thread. ...

What humor? I want to see Pollard carried out with (at a minimum) a completely shattered jaw. Preferably on the first series. He deserves nothing less for all his cheap shots over the years.

Man, would I love to see that....Brady chucking the ball late in the 4th quarter up by 20+....it would be fun to not only hear the *****ing about running up the score from the Ravens fans but all those analysts. You know the ones that say the Pats weren't that good in the early 2000's because we didn't "blowed" people out, who will now be the first to ***** about the Pats running up the score...Yeah, I'm looking at you Michael Irvin, Emmit Smith and Steve Young! ;)

...

Yeah, Brady's critics are now resorting to cherry-picking single games to counter long-term stats and results. Kind of silly.

That said: The Brady I expect to show up Sunday is the one who remembers quite publicly saying after last year's AFCCG that "I sucked" and maybe isn't so keen on a repeat. Brady out to prov a point usually does OK. Looking forward to it.

Is that idiot really bringing up stats from last year when we had Arrington, Moore, Edleman, Slater, Chung Idigbo (f that last name lol) and Dmac as our secondary? Seriously? Are they really that ******ed of a fan base?

If you read the rest of the comments on that thread the only conclusion you can come to is yes... yes they are.

All BB would need for an excuse to run it up would be telling the pun-dents to look at the last game against the Ravens....one of the 4 chokes this season

Don't even get me started on what spygate did for his stats the years they cheated. Nobody will ever know how much he was helped in those regards.

Excellent point moron, here's some numbers to prove "what spygate (Cameraplacementgate) did for his stats in "those" regards.

In the 6 years before spygate 2001-2006, Brady's record was 70-24 for a .745 winning percentage, he threw for 21,558 yards, 147 TDs and 78 INTs.

In the 5 years after spygate 2007, 2009-2012, Brady's record was 65-15 for a .813 winning percentage, he threw for 23,166 yards 187 TDs and 45 INTs.

Average year from 2001-2006: 12-4, 3593 yards, 25 TDs and 13 INTs.
Average year from 2007-2012: 13-3, 4633 yards, 38 TDs and 9 INTs.

They make Jets fans look smart.

OK, maybe not smart, but not as dumb.:D

It's honestly so naive to think that Brady would play the same as last year in this game. LOL just because they're playing eachother again in the AFCGG doesn't mean the player(s) will play the exact same like they did 365 days ago.

It's a whole new game and I strongly believe the Patriots got this one by at least 10 points.

Lmao this is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. The whole spygate thing was blown up and made even worse than it was because people already hated/were jealous of the Patriots. What's funny is that the person who was filming for the Pats was in full Patriots gear and even while filming, another teams' coach supposedly waved to the camera. Roger Goodell even said himself that it gave the Patriots no competitive advantage.
