Rate the defense

We've really had a weak schedule, and the defense still got torched. Nothing to brag about.

Good enough to finish the season with the #1 seed in the AFC.

Good enough to win is good enough for me.

I don't care if the defense gives up 60 points as long as the offense and defense combined scores 61.

I absolutely don't care how many yards the offense has or the defense allows. By the only stat the matters the defense was ranked 15th season. Not second worst in history. I don't care how many yards Tom Brady threw for. TDs matter. The 50 TD record in 2007 was an accomplishment, breaking Marino record -- irrelevent. Yards are a means to an end, but not an end.

Could the defense be better?...Sure, no doubt it would have been if the NEP didn't waste 2 high round picks last year on TEs and instead used them on defensive players. But the better defense might not win us more games as our offense would not be as good.

Our defense with this offense and special teams is good enough to be the number one seed in the AFC. If it is good enough to be part of a team that wins the next three games, then that will make it the best defense in the league, by virtue of being part of the best team in the league.

It amazes me that you can state 'good enough to get a #1 seed' when they got a #1 seed, and even that causes people on this board to argue.

If I didn't know better, just by going by what is posted on this board I would say we missed the playoffs, but are a better team than Denver which is also missed the playoffs and has a QB that has never won a game.

Uh...in case you didn't notice, Chung didn't play in Denver, and Carter went out in the first quarter.
