The media is funny. When Gay says it he is being arrogant. When Shannon Sharpe is the middle of the game pretending to call the President to bring in the national guards to help the Pats because they are getting killed, the media thinks it is hysterical.

It's all in the packaging. Some parapalegic guy on a disability stipend from Social Security designed and built a special device that allowed him to climb a mountain. Presented on the news as heroic stuff. It could have just as easily been presented as a guy bilking the system. If he can invent and manufacture something then climb a mountain, why can't he get a job.

I find nothing wrong with the way Gay handled the situation. I'm sick of everyone talking about how arrogant and dirty the Pats are. Why all of a sudden are they calling the Pats the Evil Empire ? When they won their first SuperBowl they were such a likeable team, now because they are really really good they are all of a sudden the bad guys ? I find it elementary that players, fans, teams are downgrading what the Pats are accomplishing
