Shanahan has had success getting busts to play hard for a year when they are trying to save thier careers.

Then they revert of mediocrity as is their nature. The bust Browncos played OK for a season. Perhapsp the Rams reject wil do so as well. If so Shanahan is doing what BB does at LB; eek a year or two out of damaged goods...
