Raiders relocation to Las Vegas next year.

There has been serious discussion of putting a team in San Antonio because it would not put a dent in the Houston market. I cant believe how Houston and Dallas have grown.

The US population is flocking to Texas in droves for jobs, low taxes, affordability and other qualities that I cant mention because they are radioactive.

Ya lots of their metro areas are going crazy with growth. Think Austin is top two or three in the country. Raleigh (where I moved to) is as well, but not to the levels of Friends yet.

None of the qualities are radioactive, the discussion of them simply doesn't belong on this board.

Yep, Austin is a landing spot for folks leaving California, Washington state and Oregon.

Favorite Vegas experience: in town with four consultant buddies, to deliver a conference session for a national client. The night after the session, we walked in to the casino of the very newly opened Bellagio, had a conversation about what the primary value was in the casino (greed), and decided to have some fun with it. Each of us bought a sum of their coins ($25, think?), and walked around in the slots, dropping a few into the cups of people who were running low. Yes, giving away the same money people were chasing. Some people just stared at us in disbelief, others got mad at us, and we got a few handshakes, high fives, and even one hug. Security started following us around, with genuine confusion because we were upsetting the system but not breaking any explicit rules. (Is generosity against the rules in a casino?) We ran out of money before they could get organized to intervene.

I'd pay for the security footage of that, just to relive it.

Giving money away in a casino happens now and then. People lose track of the fact that their chips represent real money (which is one of the reasons casinos use chips in the first place).

I once had a great roll at the craps table and some guy who won about a grand gave me a $25 chip.
