Question for the Haters to answer why did BB bring back TBC

Burress's touchdown catch was a fluke? Seriously, after Tyree's catch, the Pats still had a chance to stop them but failed. That loss might go down as one of the biggest choke jobs in NFL history. Rational people won't blame a fluke catch for the reason why the Pats lost.

I clearly remember the Giants holding for ever and a day... right in front of the inept refs eyes.

I want to puke again...

I of course meant 2006. I was damned disappointed in the playoff run that year, I won't deny that.

Under the present conditions, TBC is a bargain, he knows the system and has more pass rush ability than most of our "pass rushers" at OLB.

I don't mean to bash either. I like them both, and am optimistic about Crables upside. All they need to do is play hard, and I'll be happy.

Think of it as a business. If you're just barely making expenses, what happens when business is poor? You fold, that's what.

If everything goes right, this LB corps is adequate. If one or both exhibits a weakness they can't correct, what happens? Same with problems, injuries etc. Pass rush? Again, if everything hits, maybe adequate. If not? No young starter has succeeded since Colvin, that I can recall, outside of the #1pick. That's why you draft.

I'm sure they'll try to fill the gaps with tank and the DBs, but as good looking as they are, they are not Rodney.

Not a hater. Legitimate questions: Do we have enough to last through the playoffs? Where are the LBs of the future?[/quote]

They are spelled Mayo, Thomas, Guyton, Woods, Crabel and McKenzie. Three high picks: a First, two Thirds and then a couple/triple of developing, overachieving "Finds"...

Any long enduring dynasty must periodically rebuild/retool and the Pats have been doing so since the beginning of the 2007 season. In 2007 BB rebuilt the Offense. In 2008 and 2009 he has/is rebuilding the Defense. He did a pretty good job too.

First and Fifth in Offense in 2007 & 2008, and even stronger now. Tenth and a projected Top Five in 2008, and 2009 on Defense. Meanwhile an undefeated regular season and a SB appearance loss due to Two OL injuries and a RB injury loss in the Super Bowl & leading with 38 seconds to go.... Not bad for a rebuilding effort.. Eh Wot?

Any catch where the cornerback falls down pretty much is a fluky play.

When I'm on here, I feel like I'm in Pyongyang sometimes.

"You must not question the decisions of our Dear Leader!"

"Our Dear Leader knows what's best for us!"

"Our Dear Leader is infallible and divine...!"

Stepford Forum.

and when I read posts like this I think of some know -it-all nerd playing in some "fantasy" league who thinks because his "roster" and his "decisions" are good enough to be in first place that he actually should be listened to by Bill Belichick and the Patriot staff. Guys like this think THEY know more than the coach of a THREE TIME NFL SUPER BOWL WINNING TEAM.

Smarmy little putdown lines are a sure sign of the overblown "Look at me!!!!!" egotist. And when I read this crap I think

Our recent passed is littered with Chad Jackson's, Ben Watson's, Laurence Maroney's to name a few who are pretty high picks and haven't pan out.

We make mistakes. By saying so seems to be an afront to some. I don't get it.

Your recent "passed" is littered with dead brain cells . To "name a few"?? How about you name ALL these horrible picks that YOU could've done a better job with, you egocentric boob.

Some ridiculous stuff being said in this thead.

First of all winning the superbowl is the cream on top.

The target is to be superbowl contendors year in year out and even last year we were one game away from the playoffs with an injury ravaged outfit.

We are stronger this year and we are going to be very hard to stop.

Having said all that I am worried about our depth at OLB, not so worried about the inside with Guyton looking good and Bruschi still around to back up in case of the worst and Lenon even though he hasn't impress so far at TC. In all fairness though thats the only real worry and that says a lot about how impressive the squad is that we are focused on one possible weakness.

By ME... Based on NOT playing 6 rookies or first time players on Defense any longer. They are all going into their second years there. And as BB so eloquently says, the step-up between rookie and sophomore years is dramatic.

Plus the return to health of several key guys like Warren, AD, perhaps Tank & Crabel. And add some talented newcomers like Brace and Butler. Wilfork willl be fresher, with blows provided by a true NT, and the run Defense should improve/return to yielding less than 100 yards per game.

Plus the better Offense run by MVP Brady, that will afford them more rest and bigger leads to play from.

Post of the Day.

The sad reality is, I'd rather have Junior, Willie & Rosie than Alexander, Ninkovich & Woods.

You would. How about Deacon Jones, Bubba Smith and **** Butkus. They could still suit up and play according to you... I'll take AD, with Mayo, and hold the lettuce Thank You.

Joker,
Pencil Geek is the same genius who "guaranteed" that we'd get not one but two first round picks for Cassel. He's SO much smarter than BB.
