Common sense says it was a TD, but I'm not sure the rulebook does. Imagine instead that the ball squirted out instead of ending up in JJ's hands, would it have been called incomplete due to not surviving the ground?
I think what we can deduce from this is that..........
A receiver must survive the ground unless the ball is forcefully dislodged by a defender while the receiver is attempting to survive the ground.
It's kind of like that Lance Moore two point conversion in the Super Bowl 44.........he had control but would he have survived the ground if the defender hadn't dislodged the ball? WHo knows?
