I am willing to bet on Saturday there will be many disappointed folks here.
the PATS have a chance to get 4 or 5 potential good rookies...BUT

1. they will be rookies and will not make the team an instant super bowl contender this year...its ridiculous to expect so much out of rookies
2. every year BB winds up with downer surprises for the pats faithful
3. Without a trade up into the top 10...there will be non instant pro bowlers coming in next year.
4. The decision to not go after FA big impact veterans has resulted in ridiculously high expectations for this draft...

Just thinking its good to keep it real..because you know how BB is with the draft...marquee players are not walking in that door

Keep your hopes realistic

Agreed. I mean, it's not like he drafted one of the 5 greatest quarterbacks of all time who almost single-handedly turned the franchise's fortunes around. Never has a quality player been picked by Bill Belichick in the draft and it's reasonable to assume that won't happen in 2010.

line up suckers to give Ramon another 40 pages of arguments and insults,he loves huge 200 post threads....do yourself a favor and just pass, even if you agree with anything he said

if rams and lions fans can get excited. about the draft. two teams that will have a hard time winning more then 5 games. why should we as pats fans not be excited. the pats were a playoff team last year. and have 4 picks in the first two rounds

I am excited about seeing our players of the future in this draft but for those who think 2 or more of these draftees will have huge impacts on our wins is destined to be dissapointed.....2-3 years development is the norm.

If just ONE of our draft picks starts and is so good that it helps us win in his rookie season,I would be very happy.

i agree if we are looking for a 15 sack OLB or a 1200 yerd WR as a rookie we will get let down. the best we can hope for is one starter. and some good back up/roll players as rookies and in the next year or two will become a bigger part of the team.

BB would have to try really hard to disappoint me this draft.
