A guard in the 3rd pundits have rated as a 6th rounder. There are lots of choices.
The strange thing is that what I want is for us to pick a guard in the 3rd that Scar chooses, and this player could certainly be rated by others as a 6th rounder.
I've read a couple scouting reports on Asiata that he's very good in a power/man blocking scheme. The Pats run mostly zone-blocking. I suppose that's why they had him in for a visit - to quiz him about his understanding of zone-blocking concepts, read, adjustments, etc.
Asiata has real potential. He's a brawler inside. He'll take on anyone at any time. I don't know about his mentality or his fit in a zone-blocking scheme, but I do have absolute faith in his demeanor on the field. Fun to watch, and seems like a genuinely nice guy off the field, too.
