I tried to wait for Alamo to compile the results so I wouldn't have to toot my own horn, but he seems to not be around this year. Here are the final results of the 18-week contest. (Didn't have the energy to compile the one-week results for 75 people!) Apologies to alamo for the format here which won't be up to his standards.

Some praise for fellow predictors

chris_in_sunnyvale, you went against the crowd for some awesome predictions early in the year.

texpat, you made a nice long steady move upward in the second half of the season.

dr, you impressed me with the way you put your predictions out there early, not waiting to see what the competition was doing. You motivated me to try to do the same at least half the time. (Patchick was a wait-and-see-er who finally "went for it" in the final prediction week.)

alamo, thanks for the excellent organization. I hope you're still out there somewhere!

(and Scarecrow, I think I'll miss you most of all!)

Seems like such a looooong time ago. I had forgotten about this, probably due to the abrupt ending to the season.

Almost forgot about that max penalty. Still, it's a better option than being out for the year, as happened to so many. Remember, you came in 13th out of like 100 contestants!

I predict that in 2006, the winning season total will be closer to 280. With the Pats scoring more, it will be harder to guess that number each week. Remember how many times we scored in the 20s last year?
