The offense is good enough for 11 wins.

Official 2010 Prediction Thread

I'm going to say 12-4 and AFC East Champs. Before you start screaming homer. Here's my thinking. Pats were 8-0 AT Home last year. 2-6 on Road. 1 of road wins in London so that shouldn't even count. I still think we're going to be very tough to beat at the Gillette. Brady hasn't been beaten at home since 06 Jet game. 20-0 since installing field turf. I think 7-1 is a very distinct possibility. Road sked is much lighter. I say wins at Buffalo, NY Jets, Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago. Say losses to SD, Pitt and Miami. And, I don't think any of those teams I'm giving us losses to are unbeatable this year.

Playoffs? Get back to me in January.

Re: Official 2010 Prediction Thread

I'll say 10-6 with the division coming down to a tiebreaker.

Four games the pats should win: Bills, Bills, Browns, Lions. Could add Miami in Foxboro late to that list. That should be four wins.

The rest of the games could all easily go either way. So if the Pats win (and lose) half of those twelve games, that's 6-6. Add the 4-0 from above to that and there's 10-6.

Yeah, rather simplistic, but that's my guess. Nothing from 7-9 to 12-4 would be shocking to me, given the opponents on their schedule and what we know about the team at this point.

Re: Official 2010 Prediction Thread

14-2, Super Bowl champs over Green Bay. Just like Madden 2010 predicts.

Re: Official 2010 Prediction Thread

- This team will go 9-7
- The defense will drive you nuts
- The Pats will lose to the Colts again

Re: Official 2010 Prediction Thread

I'll leave it to Gruden, Jaws, and the rest of the ESPN crew. They always have it figured out.

Re: Official 2010 Prediction Thread

We already have a prediction thread. I predict that this thread get merged with that one.

What are you going to do when you're proven wrong?

10-6 if the defense keeps improving.

WC playoff. Losing AFC championship when defense gives up 5 TDs to Houston or (prey to god let it not be) Indy.

10-6 feels right. Hopefully they finish strong.

Nothing. Nobody's going to remember it or care. The same thing basically happens every year. That's why I put Gut's quote in my signature. I highly doubt he'll be around after the season, though, if the Pats win 10 games or more.

If I was a New England fan, I'd be super scared about the secondary - they will be facing some BIG tests this year. Favre, Rodgers, Manning, and even Big Ben can put up an above average passing game. You also go up against Rivers and Palmer, who are no slouches either. However, the offense should be sufficient enough to give this teams double digit wins.

However, if the offense underachieves (which I think is unlikely), then we'd be talking 9-7 or worse. I'm going 11-5. I'd say 10-6, but that just doesn't seem like a good enough record for New England.

Very brutal schedule for the AFC East this year.

What do you predict the Bills' record to be this year? That's a sincere question, not baiting you.

If they can get some competent QB play behind that slew of running backs, they'll be a lot better than anybody is giving them credit for.

Yeah, not taking that as a bait, just posting up my honest opening about New England.

Anyhow, a big positive for Buffalo is that Jauron is no longer our head coach, which means the "Playing not to lose" menality should be out of Buffalo. He played scared a LOT, and it showed. Very likely things will be different with Gailey. Coaching costed us a handful of games in this past decade.

Like I said, it's a very brutal schedule for the AFC East, which means it will be pretty difficult for Buffalo to string up a winning season, but we're all up to the challenge. We start off the season with Miami, Green Bay, New England, the Jets, and Jacksonville.

Miami, Jacksonville, and maybe the Jets are all winnable games for us.

There are some people who will think the Bills will be downright awful this season, but I don't see how we got worse. If anything, we are the same team, if not slightly better than our 2009 squad. And another factor overlooked was that like half our team was on IR last season. It got to the point where I could stop naming who was starting for the team.

I'm thinking no less than 5 wins. We could get up to 8 if a thing here or two bounces our way. So I'd set the mark at 6 wins.

And no, the Bills streak to New England doesn't end this year. No way we could beat them in a shootout.

I went 9-7. Tough schedule and the young defense does not look ready. If some of those young defenders develop quickly, then I'd go 10-6 or even 11-5. I hope I'm wrong about 9-7.

my thoughts exactly, I just can't see this team making a playoff run right now.

12-4.

Everybody is worried about the D but I can't see too many teams that will outscore us. The offense is sick good, imo the best its ever been. Our D will get better as the season goes on with all the young talent thats there so I'm thinking they might lose a couple early but I don't see them being stopped once the D gets up to speed.

The Bengals, Jets, Bills and Dolphins is not a difficult start, then the bye week happens and it gives time to tweak things before the toughest run on the schedule.

Patriots... 12-4.. Lets go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
