Did you intentionally leave off the best fit for the Pats, or was that a coincidence? Cause Mayfield is that guy. FFS the guy was a walk on at Oklahoma! For all those pineing for the new "underdog" QB, here he is! Hell he's the most accurate QB in the draft. The guy deserves to have a chip on his shoulder. Think there's alot of misconceptions on this board about where he came from. The guy wasn't recruited...at all. Only thing better than the Brady story, would be this guy coming in, and lighting it up.

I agree with you, but he's going top 5, top 10 at worst. Not even in our trade range unless the plan is to give up practically all draft capital.

I think it's funny that the only replies you've gotten in rebuttal are ******** Tebow/Manziel fallacious comparisons. This is the time of year when everyone gets real bold parroting things they read the day before.

Im leaning torwards Rudolph,Lauletta,Litton, Kanoff.
We arent getting past the Jets to take Mayfield.

Agreed. However IF they were to move up, for a QB Mayfield would be my preference of the big 4. As far as the rebuttals go, it's simply laziness. It's easy for posters to jump to those conclusions on the surface of events regarding Mayfield, but a little research goes a long way. However, as you pointed out I can't see BB paying the bounty of picks required to move up for a QB this year...although anything is possible, in the crazy season.

Just heard a report from Jason LaConfora that the pats are definitely looking at drafting a QB in the first round and that baker mayfield is the one they like most. Mason rudolph as a secondary option but might not be available with baltimore and arizona also looking at QBs.

I just did a mock draft where I gave Cleveland our 2 1sts and a 1st next year for 4 and 2 fourth rounders this year.
I drafted Chubb and with both seconds traded down next picks were Mason Rudolph and Lorenzo Carter, Nyheim Hines,Simmie Cobbs,
Jessie Bates, Kevin Tolliver, Jalyn Holmes, Trequan Smith, Tim Settle,Josh Sweat, Deshon Elliot.

What is interesting is Lauletta went 1st pick of the second round.
And Lamar Jackson went with our second second rounder I traded down with the Bills for.
It's a simulation but it could be close to the Quarterback pecking order.
I'd be thrilled with Rudolph in the late third even as a career backup.
Mike White dropped to the 5th and the Chargers snatched him up one pick before me so I took Litton in the 6th.
Will spare you the rest as stated before 2 Expansion teams.

At this point, the team has been linked to most of the QBs coming out in the draft. While I think they will take one, most of the links are probably disinformation coming from the team.
I think we take 2 I'd rather take 2 and have them battle it out behind Brady and maybe bump Hoyer off this or next season.

I certainly hope they don't take two. Not with the needs they still have on the defensive side of the ball.

A flier on Litton or Allen or Woodside in the 7th or a rookie free agent not a huge investment.
I agree heavy defense

Allen is becoming the forgotten man and I think maybe a surprise trade up and target.

If the Patriots trade up for Allen, I think it might be time to consider the possibility that BB’s mental faculties are failing.

I went with Jackson involving a trade up.

I think Josh will like the mobility and the way Bill plays D against mobile QB shows the respect he has for them.

As much as I would love to just use these first 4 picks to reload, we may not have a better chance for years to draft a top QB. With Brady’s age, they have to pick one early. I’m hoping Jackson falls rather than blowing our draft load moving up for Mayfield.
