Congrats to Folk!!!!
When we first signed Folk, I had no thoughts that he would stick with the team and flourish the way he has.

You could argue hes in the top 5 of placekickers in team history. When we first signed Folk, I had no thoughts that he would stick with the team and flourish the way he has.
Are there others beyond the well-known three that would make it so that you would need to argue it?You could argue hes in the top 5 of placekickers in team history.

mike if I was a betting man I would bet on them not resigning him. This not a knock on Meyers but I have seen to Patriots let better players walk. They'll have Thornton - Parker and Bourne under contract next year. That said WR will definitely be on the menu again in the Draft on a possible double dip.The Pats have a big pile of money to spend and if we don't re-sign Meyers, we're looking for another WR like him that can be Mac's safety valve. I bet they'll be competitive in their offer and we'll just have to see. I put it at 50-50 that they re-sign him.
The AFC East is the better Division the Phins are for real.We also thought the AFC West was going to be the best division in football. We never really know until the games start.
I think that's fair, but it really depends on how they view Bourne. If they think he can take Meyers' slot role, maybe they let Meyers walk. But they re-signed Edelman and White and a number of other chain-movers before, so I know they value that role a lot. I think Meyers might be a below-the-radar guy that won't get huge offers in FA. I guess we'll just have to see.mike if I was a betting man I would bet on them not resigning him. This not a knock on Meyers but I have seen to Patriots let better players walk. Record wise the AFC east has to be the best division in football. Everyone is .500 or above. The AFC East is the better Division the Phins are for real.
Well AV and Gost are 1 and 2.Are there others beyond the well-known three that would make it so that you would need to argue it?
No SissonWell AV and Gost are 1 and 2.
In my lifetime i'd put John Smith and Tony Franklin on the list.
Certainly Gino is in the discussion but I never saw him play.
Then there is Folk....
I don't remember Smith or Franklin, but Gino held the records for a long time and is a fan favorite.Well AV and Gost are 1 and 2.

Tony Franklin was automatic. Kicked barefoot.I don't remember Smith or Franklin, but Gino held the records for a long time and is a fan favorite.
Kickers can play a long time, so we'll have to see how Folk holds up.
Smith kicked on good teams in 70's, famous for snowplow kick.I don't remember Smith or Franklin, but Gino held the records for a long time and is a fan favorite.

Gino was a gamer all the way. I watched his entire career. All star player, kicker and game analyst. Pats Hall of Famer, imo should be in Canton also. Charley Gogolak was also a good kicker, his best years in Washington. Good list above.aWell AV and Gost are 1 and 2.

Good morning everyone, getting you ready for a Wednesday....the injury report that comes out later today will be very interesting!!!
Kicking was 1000 times harder back then. Outdoors, mud, regular shoes, game balls.Gino was a gamer all the way. I watched his entire career. All star player, kicker and game analyst.
