Pre-Game Thread- Bills @ Pats (Thursday Night)

Yup. Buffalo doesn’t have a Cook, but they have better WRs after Diggs.
I disagree 100% with this. Give me Theilein and Hockenson any day. Up here in Buffalo they want to get rid of Gabe Davis because he only runs 3 routes. Very down on him.

33 receptions on 60 targets

It seems like teams were favored against, we win, and teams were not favored against, we lose.

Anyway... Josh Allen is a great QB, and he kills us. The Pats defense looks like mush whenever they play good offenses. People say Belichick takes away your best player, but we haven't really seen that play out against good QBs/good offenses that much the past couple of years.

I'm not sold on our offense. I don't think we'll look as good.

And even if we do, we all know what happened at the end of the Vikings and Ravens games: we have a chance in the 4th, but then eventually mess up

Mac played well last game, but he doesn't come through clutch enough, at all. He's also underwhelming against the blitz.

Think about what you're doing.

We're over here focusing on playing what is now our archrival, our QB is coming off a very good game...

And here you are pining for the rookie backup.

You don't think that's just absolutely boring? Give it a rest.
It's not boring. Mac finally had a really good game this year, for once. And was playing like crap before then.

Mac played well last year, but he is not really significantly better than Zappe at all. We'll see.

Right and I'm talking about the significant weaknesses the team has, particularly over the last 3 games regarding red zone offense. While Mac has played better. They better figure it how to punch it in more than the woeful 15% they have been averaging. Or this is going to be another blow out game

Also where did I mentioned bringing zappe in. Mac had a breakout game. So let's see if he can keep that up, and improve red zone efficiency

Of course the increased risk on offense is important to win games. A <15% success rate in the red zone against teams that are scoring >50 or 60% of the time is called a recipe for losing. That you're even posing the question about risk vs. reward of scoring more in thr red zone as the 29th worst team in the league is just stupid
I never said anything about "the red zone" - that's you shaping the argument with your own bias.

4 TDs and only one INT in last four games speaks directly to a positive trend. I hope it continues.

So, you didn't have to, I did. Calling out pertinent facts around the success or failure of the offense isn't bias. It's providing information, to draw conclusions from. Bias is when you ignore facts.

He's the starting QB going into a big game. Nothing more needed for discussion. Ridiculous you're still wanting Zappe at this point.

I seriously want to know how old some of you are, whether you watched the Patriots back in the 70s or 80s, because if you had any viewing experience from prior to 1993, you'd realize that QBs don't grow on trees. They're developed. It takes time.

Yes, 4 TDs in 4 games is a better trend than his 6 TDs in 8 games this season.
At this new accelerated rate, Corky has a fantastic shot at 12 passing TDs this season.

Yes, and that 1 int was on a deflected ball after the OL allowed quick penetration. Pressure came from behind him too.

Bills are very injured right now and very sick.

- Over a dozen Bills players are out of practice due to an illness that has spread through the facility.

- QB is injured. WR3 and WR4 are on IR. DE1 is injured. DE2 is injured. MLB is injured. C is injured. LT is injured. CB1 is injured. CB2 is injured. S1 is on IR.

Good morning Patriot fans, getting everyone ready for a Monday with a Thursday game looming:

Mac is definitely better than Zappe. That is expected when you’re comparing a second year QB and last year’s runner up ROTY to an unpolished rookie.

I mean, how injured is “injured.” Allen hasn’t missed a game so I question all of the above… Every team is dealing with nagging issues. The Pats could probably say the same thing or worse. How many of these guys are actually at risk of being out?

Oh come on, you have to admit it was funny. At the very least it brings a sense of levity to your ongoing anti-Mac jihad.
Im not anti Mac, I'm anti bottom of the league QB play. Mac gave himself a stay of execution with that last game in my mind
