I don't agree with checked out. Why would he have played through significant illness if he was checked out? I think we are just getting what everyone not named Scar got out of him.
Brown played because he had incentives that made him a ton of money but outside of half of 2018 he has always been average to below average. Had it not been for the way his contract was structured he would have been a malcontent who went MIA just like Wynn.

Off-season OL Gameplan:

Cut Trent Brown
Sign Kelvin Beachum for RT
Draft LT Paris Johnson at 14 if he’s available
Try to sign Onwenu to extension
Let an actual OL Coach coach up Strange
Maybe draft Andrews eventual replacement in mid rounds…Michigan guy
Agreed, good post.

Love the idea of extending Onwenu at this point... he's in the last year of his deal... Extend him so he gets a well deserved bump (this year above the 2.9 due him, 5 million dollar range?) then whatever the going rate is... and hopefully we can tailor the deal so its cap friendly...

I remember all the rumors that Bill liked him in the draft but the Titans got him first. Wonder if he comes in for a visit soon.

He was drafted by the Texans. I don’t know if he was a free agent or claimed on waivers by tenn, but he’s been available before. He’s an interesting candidate.

I like all of this but wonder if Brown can't be salvaged by a real OL coach.

Maybe, but only at Right Tackle - his days as a Left Tackle are Ovah - and even then only at a significantly reduced salary.

My bad. Meant to write Texans but Titans came off the fingers.

He played uninspired, scar said it himself when motivated he can be a dominant lineman.. he to was part of not buying in club with the Patricia/judge set up.. in his mind probably thinking I got my ring, I got paid what do I care...

I think OBJ is more name than game at this point. He is oft injured and getting up there in age in addition to being a prima dona.

I get it... he looked really good in the rams superbowl before he got hurt... but yeah I get what you mean..

I repeat the same statement... Is he not better than Agahlor? Parker? Bourne? Myers? ...

claimed on waivers... pretty sure the titans had waiver wire priority over us... we were 9-4 at the time, the titans were 8-4...

Is he really a diva though? I feel like he’s been knocked down a couple pegs the last few years.
