I'll absolutely take that!! If those guys are NFL ready then we definitely have something .. even if we drafted 2 WRs and brung them along slowy.. I'd like to explore trade possibilities for juedy, Hopkins or a proven WR that DCs have to respect.. someone that is going to Make sauce work when we play jets.. as sauce is the best corner in the NFL.. want to have someone to make him have to respect..
the difference being is Randy Moss could change a game single handedly, he was that good... and for his first year here, he bought in, completely... Parker just isnt that level of talent...
Another thing too is defensively we should also be looking to add a lock down corner.. as good as we were defensively that lock down corner would allow us to do much, more with the safeties.

Broncos New HC Sean Payton loves WR's can't see him moving on from the young jerry Juedy also we would be doing the Cardinals a favor taking on Hopkins age and remaining contract no thanks.

This is a pretty deep corner class in the draft this year, I think that lock down corner is more likely to come via the draft than through free agency. The downside of that is it usually takes a couple seasons for a drafted player to become a lockdown corner. If the top 3 tackles are gone by 14 I think corner will probably be the direction they go.

Although, there could be players available in free agency that are unexpected due to cuts. I might change my tune if a corner I really liked became available that isn't on the free agent list now.

Yeah, first he'll need to fix Russell wilson.. although I feel Wilson was hurt all year that is why the play was subpar... however it depends on if Denver feels they can resign juedy.. he's on his rookie deal.. we should all know by now... in the NFL anything can happen if the 2 sides want It too.. Hopkins is still elite, guy has massive hands, runs great routes, still has some speed and athletic ability.. can run every route tree all over the field.. if he'd be willing to be traded here and restructure his deal its worth a shot!

Due to the age and contract Hopkins should be a lot cheaper than a player like Jeudy or PatsFan favorite Tee Higgins. A lot of Pats fans dismiss Hopkins because he's over 30, but if the Pats can get him for a 3rd or a 4th I'd rather use the cap space to pay him than bring back Jacoby.

Sauce and Revis are the exceptions to the rule.. those guys came in NFL ready.. I was really shocked at just how good Sauce was his rookie season.. your right though... Jack Jones seems on his way.. still need a veteran presence even if we drafted some CB prospects.. there are rumblings rams make make Ramsey available! I think we can keep Jonathan Jones here on a 2 yr deal.. rather him in the slot..

I think most fans would like to bring in Hopkins, the big unknown is whether O'Brien running the offense tanks that as an option.

I mentioned on here that Hopkins would help this offense by leaps and bounds..

He's still elite, hey if it can work I say go for it.. Hopkins can only help this offense

Juedy is a name to pay close attention too.. he's on his rookie deal, has everything you want in a complete WR.. wouldn't be shocked if patriots traded for him.. he's young and he could flourish here.
you think the donks would trade him? Payton knows the value of a good receiver im thinking... free agency is out best shot at him, if BB would be willing to pay the associated price...

can we get one with the 14th pick? if so, there is the answer to the million dollar question - who do we draft in round 1

The issues Hops had with BoB were all contract related....

Hops has been paid.

He and BoB would hit it off just fine in Foxborough for a season at least.... make no mistake...the Pats ain't giving Hops another massive contract...he would be an one year rental...perhaps a small bump in pay in the form of an upfront signing bonus...but that's it, IMO.

That's true Payton is excellent with recivers another name I was listening on talk radio was Michael Thomas.. I know he's been hurt, how saints may be wanting to get from under that contract.. would you pursue him?

IF we didn't have so much question marks on Offense form QB onward I would be all in on D Hopkins Trade. That said let's say we get Jimmy G in FA along with Hopkins in a Trade now we would have a QB who can get our WR's and TE's the Football count me in.

I'd go left tackle with the 14th.. we'll know more within next month of what proven CBs are available.. I'm keeping my eyes on Ramsey... he'd be excellent here.. mayo would be able to do so much with the D if we got him... if Diggs was frustrated against the Bengals then.... a motivated Ramsey would do wonders!

lol, ive asked the board that same question a few times... man, honestly i just dont know... he really has needed an ER triage center on the sidelines over the past few seasons... be a shame to make a run at him, only to have him miss 50 or 75% of a season becaue of another nagging injury...

I'd love to see a poll on this. Between this site and reddit it seems like a lot of people aren't interested in him because he's over 30.

Even Evan Lazar who is my favorite Pats reporter said something similar in his mailbag today.

Honestly, I don't think the Pats fans should be so picky about what receiver they add. If the player can help then I'm happy to add them even if they are over 30 (including Michael Thomas if he can pass a physical).

I'll add Two Rookie WR's coming in: I think they are WR's in this Draft who can contribute from day one ie...Jaxson Smith-Njigba - Zay Flowers - Jordan Addison and Josh Downs. I want us to get a combination of two of those guys @ WR no excuses.
These guys will all be a big reach at 14. We don't draft this high hardly ever. Last time was 2010.

If we reach when we have a chance at draftng the kind of impact players who always go in the top 15, it will be a huge opportunity lost.

When we've drafted high in the past, we ended up with Seymour, McGinest, Mayo. Which is invaluable compared to a #2 WR.

I'm sure Jimmy G. would do a good job getting the ball to our receivers for the 3-4 games he's healthy every season. The cost to sign him would probably prevent the Pats from signing the receiver they need. QBs are expensive in free agency.

I'd rather see if BoB can help Mac, and I think Zappe deserves to be at least a number two QB on the depth chart after what he did last year. Roster construction wise a QB on a rookie contract is the way to go imo. I wouldn't be shocked if they drafted another QB this year as well.

Lol that's true... yeah the guy isn't that far removed from that elite player that he was.. I believe it's an ankle issue that he had the same problems with for a few seasons.. a 74% of a healthy player like him even on a one year prove you can stay healthy deal would be a lift.. however I believe we are going to draft some more rookie WRs and bring in a proven veteran WR defenses have to account for... just imagine adding 1 potent piece can take this offense over the top..

This WR class have Great Dept. the Patriots will be labeled incompetent @ Drafting WR if they came away with nothing this time around.
