Potential of our Receivers

I posted this in another thread, but it seems to fit here, as well:

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, there has never been an instance in NFL history where a team had four or more players play at least one game for a team in a season and each of those players had at least 900 receiving yards the previous season (either for that team or a different team). The Patriots have five as you mentioned.

Brady in the first three Qs, Mallett in the fourth. . . .

Close enough. ;)

It occurs to me that all that experience at the middle and bottom of the roster may help Mallett and Hoyer to look a bit more special in the preseason. Maybe they could even entice a needy team or two to come calling. :D

All the talk of Gaffney and nobody mentions his blocking? Go back and watch some if the lanes he created for Welker on screens. He is a football player. Nothing flashy, does his job, rarely makes mistakes and gives the extra effort to help his teammate get the extra inch.

I hope the years have been nice to him, I was sad to see him go.
