OK, for the second year in a row, a less-than-superior team wins the Super Bowl after the best regular season teams self implode. And we know what happens to such teams the following seasons, Pittsburgh this season for example.

Of course, the Colts should be ever grateful to the New England Patriots, because it was only through the series of stinging defeats at the hands of the dynastic Patriots that they were able to finally build the virtue and fortitude necessary to win and be a champion, to understand that such a triumph cannot be possible by solely relying on a statistic-reaping commercial quarteback.

You're welcome.

Here's two other ways we helped them. If we don't beat Jax they probably make playoffs. Colts might have had to play them in 1st round. A month after getting a beat down from them. Also, they didn't have to travel to SD to play AFCCG. I doubt if they beat the Chargers there.

That stuff happens, but...

1. If it wasn't for the Jags in 1996, we wouldn't have gone to the superbowl, cuz we were not gonna beat the broncos in denver.

2 (for sox fans). Im not gonna thank the Yankees for beating the sox in 03 for making 04 more special.

Not going to live in the past anymore, the colts time was now they won it.. good for them, we had our chance to beat them, but we did not .. That is why BB is in Hawaii, and Dungy is going to a parade... It was easy for the Colts to play Dungy's Buddies, in Herm and Lovie, and also have Brian Billick and Steve Mcnair wet the bed.. Give us 2 weeks for the afc title game ,and we would have won 4 in 6....
