Super Happy about Kyle Van Noy, he showed tons of heart today out there and played his heart out! Great job by him! I now have hope he will be a solid #2 for us and put Roberts to #3 until he proves himself.
Van Noy was the reason i'm on this thread, hes really starting to play well, i think BB found collins replacement.

Would love to know what Fisher and Blount had to say after Blount's second 4th down conversion.. The one where he was face masked and Blount tapped fisher on the back of his head........

Definitely looked pretty encouraging. He could become a more reliable Collins light. I mean there is an obvious gap in athleticism and physicals tools but I gotta feeling that Van Noy is more coachable than Collins at that point in their career. And as we know for BB reliability trumps high upside.

Hope he can built on that performance and become a solid contributer.

You think we get some of the yokels in here or in the Boston media to suggest giving Welker a call ?
Of course.

I suspect WW has pretty much filled out his retirement papers and all he needs to do is lick the stamp and drop it off at the post office.

Or email the PDF..

Martin would be the only logical choice over Lucien
I had forgotten about Martin. Also didn't realize he was on the street. I agree, he would be the best choice if BB doesn't think the PS guys are up to it.

Hadn't seen that. Do you have a source?
He's one of the players that they're paying above minimum. Reiss had it in his story today.

Reinventing the offense into a drive stalling, 5 yard sideways passing, field goal kicking machine?
That isn't really a fair description of today's offense.
Penalties really killed drives today.
For example, there was a 9 yard completion to a receiver on first down but was called back for an illegal shift. Drive ending up going nowhere.
Another drive started with a positive play only to be called back for holding on first down.
No offense in the league is consistently capable of overcoming 1 and 15 and 1 and 20.

People really think Belichick was gonna roll out the Plan A offensive game plan against the f**king Rams with ****birds and the donkeys the next 2 games?

They were using like 2 pages of the playbook today.

You can damn well be sure Lewis and White won't have only 16 touches between them, Lewis has clearly been on a snap count his 1st 3 games because it's basically his pre-season as before the SF game he hadn't played in over a calendar year and Bennett likely won't be targeted only 4 times. You can tell they took it easy with Bennett in terms of the passing game today, only 4 targets and only 1 was 2 yards past the line of scrimmage which was the pass in the end zone.

The club voluntarily increased the salaries of guard Chris Barker ($15,000 per week, up from $10,000) and receiver DeAndrew White ($10,000 per week, up from the minimum level of $6,900 per week) this week. White, who played under Nick Saban at Alabama and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2015, would probably be the next man up at receiver in the event of an injury to Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan,Malcolm Mitchell or Danny Amendola.

Patriots appear confident they can overcome Rob Gronkowski void

FWIW even with giving up that big play on 4th down the 162 yards allowed is still 4th best game for a defense this year in the nfl in terms of yards allowed.

I only saw bits and pieces of the game but I saw Blount get knocked back behind the LOS a few times today. I think without Gronk we will suffer in 3rd and long. What were they today on 3rd down? like 3/13.. eek.
