A win is a win but still not impressed with the defense at all. Trubisky isn't good but the pats made him look that way. At the end of the day this isn't a championship defense.

Offense will be okay but with Michelle done for the year they don't have a whole lot options left at running back.

That stop at the 1 reminded me of the Ravens game in 07 where Kyle Boller also completed a hail mary that was caught and stopped at the 1.

Could not agree more....they are erratic, poorly coached and inconsistent.....not sure what bb can do to fix it but they are awful to watch ....no confidence

I can't believe this . despite all the **** from you. Does not deserve an answer . but this was heroic close to 50 min effort by Pats D.

You don't deserve to watch them.

No lead is safe w this team...win is good, but Christ the defense still blows and gave up 31 points

Man, the Mods couldn't wait to close that GDT.

Right to the second

Game days get much more enjoyable when you stay away from the GDT. I get it's all about "knee jerk reactions", it's when you see posters who have been around forever call it a game, etc when the team is down two scores. I can only imagine the gold that was being posted at 17-7...

Trubisky is a good young QB with wheels.
We need Michel back it's not a game with him in there.
We easily run the ball down their throats.
We need him back.

Glad to see our O has hit their stride. D is still a work in progress

Call me a homer but I'm not really worried too much about our defense. They aren't great but a lot of problems don't seem to be due to a lack of talent as much as it is bad communication or missed plays here and there in tough situations.
Homer !!!

We just had a big win, this isn't the place for that kind of post. Can we enjoy the win for at least a day

There are several very wise coaches and talent scouts that use this board.

Defense was far from excellent however are guys fumbled twice.

I thought they largely avoided systemic failure -- instead, it seemed like a few specific failures that led to points. They got great pressure on Trubisky, but he managed to run for yards / TDs that he shouldn't have been able to convert. Additionally, the Patriots had two short fields to defend after turnovers and Roberts dropped an easy INT in the end zone, so they had more scoring chances than they should have. With an inconsistent running game, it was tougher to burn clock and keep the defense off the field. Not an excellent showing from the defense, but I actually think they're trending in the right direction.

Could we trade for Jordan Richards to do a little Dr Jekyll stuff and trade Knees with Sony.
It would be the first real contribution Jordan ever makes in the NFL.

You are funny....I’ll give u that bro

I can't get a feel for this year's team. I thought we might have a power running game with Hill, Rex, and Michel before those dreams were quickly dashed. Even our passing game doesn't seem to have an identity. Our defense doesn't make sense and the one thing I thought we could count on, special teams, has been all over the place.

LOL. A better throw and Gordon might have had it. Lots of adversity, and more of a nail-biter than it should have been (some uncharacteristic turnovers inflated the Bears scoring -- not to mention Roberts dropping an EZ interception), but a win is a win is a win.

Get healthy and let's move on. 5-2 with a division game coming up against the inept Bills is a great place to be at this point in the season.

Jon Jones and Gilmore had near-picks, too.

BTW - Know of anyone with nitro pills to spare? Asking for a friend.

This team as currently constituted is very unlikely to get through the Chiefs a second time.
It took a historic penalty free, punt free performance to get past them a first time, but the rematch is still too far off to worry about just yet. Until then, let’s hope for defensive improvement and good health.
