That might be true in your head but stats pretty much tell a different story in the real world.
The only thing that matters is winning. Who would you rather kick the winning field goal in a game. Ghost or Vinatieri

Steelers game just became the biggest game of the year. With a win today it wouldn't have been...but there it is

This team got smoked 3 times on the road and lost a nearly must win game today. How can you expect them to win 2 more on the road this year?
Only the Pitt game (next week) is a road game. Week 15 and 16 are at home.

Especially with how pissed off they’re going to come out. The defense is still trash, though. Especially on the road.

They aren’t winning in Pittsburg. On the road against an offense that could drop 50 on them. Pissed off, they’re demoralized in the lock
Their away game is against the Steelers.

I’ll put a $100 on Pittsburgh to win all day long

Not sure how you can say that Jackson is the one who "just stopped" when he was the one falling over Gronkowski to try and get Drake down.. Hell, Jackson was there when Stills made the lateral to Parker and almost had Parker before he lateraled to Drake. And he had to watch out for being taken out by Van Noy who just missed taking Drake out.

If you are going to be PI$$ED at people, how about being pi$$d at Jmac and Gilmore who never got closer than the far hashmarks. And they are two of the quickest guys on the defense.

Or how about being upset with Chung since he was in front of Drake and let Drake get by him and then was just half-hearted in his pursuit.

Jackson in fact half assed his way down the entire field on that play.

That cant be argued.

They've done it before.
They haven’t won the SB without having the bye. As a matter of fact, aside from the ‘85 team, have any of the other 9 appearances occurred without having a bye?

Chiefs, Chargers, Saints and Rams are head and shoulders above the rest of the league right now

And the Super Bowl will probably end up being the Seahawks and the Patriots. That's football.

I’m not advocating for Gost to go. He’s made too many clutch kicks. But he has a direct hand in this. The defense not being able to stop a pop-warner team didn’t help, either.
It was one bad day, but damn those playoff misses were big. I’m surprised we haven’t had anybody come in to compete. But quality kickers have been few and far between recently.

There should have never been one on the field given where the ball was in the first place. I mean it is just one of the puzzle pieces of what went wrong on that play. Now if the ball was at the 50 it is a different story.
I highly doubt we see one on the field again in either event. Or at least I hope we don’t. There are guys on defense that can jump and have more experience actually tackling the receiver if the QB throws the ball short either intentionally or unintentionally. Bill is usually good at learning his lesson.

Yes. That's the grass is greener in the eyes or defeat approach.

But last I checked, 12 wins isn't the goal and last I checked, the Pat's have never even reached the superbowl in brady era without the bye.

There is no number of regular season wins that is the goal.

Please don't be here for the post season.

You need to take a break and cool down.

If that is what you are thinking you don't understand how football works. You don't care about the yardage but want to drain as much of the clock as possible and make sure you don't allow a big return.
The kick was perfectly executed and played.
I did not want to be kicking off unless we scored a TD. They were not getting a FG with 16 seconds left from their 4 and no time outs. They needed a miracle TD either way - but they started from the 35, not the 4.

My guess is the All-22 is going to show 3-4 people not giving a lot of effort. The rest of the game was what it was, I'll take it for a game @ Miami. But any lack of effort in that last play is unforgivable.

This is a tough one to swallow...just a horrible loss!!!

Not sure what else to say...another road loss...defense was bad and our execution down the stretch was bad...this is a game we should have won...

Let's discuss
Generally speaking I am patient with the team as well as people on this board. This loss is especially aggravating.
