Portnoy said barstoolsports raked in close to $500,000 a few years ago. It's not like he does all these publicity stunts for the hell of it. I think it's hilarious this guy above me is talking about people living in 'fairytale land' while he thinks Portnoy is doing what he does as straight 'activism'.

Portnoy makes a killing selling t-shirts. He steals almost all of the t-shirt designs from people online. No credit given nevermind money. He's funny and his site is what it is, but please stop pretending this guy does what he does for the love of New England and nothing more.

Like I said, I welcome and truly enjoy his activism, even though I believe it's opportunistic hucksterism for his website. There's room in this circus for many rings

True but I don't really care. He has been pretty great in regard to the whole deflate gate stuff. Whatever money he made, the collective outrage against the league seemed to rally around the whole "Free Brady" thing. Which has resulted in some pretty great publicity stunts and worked as an expression of anger against Goodell and his cronies. There is certainly a lot of self interest and money in it for Portnoy and Barstool but whatever, I'm fine with it.

I don't know how much you follow barstool. but no. he is really really on brady's side here. believes innocence. has displayed that for months.

While I admire his enthusiasm I think it's more about him selling a few more t-shirts than anything else. If it were just some hard core fan out there, he wouldn't have a big DRAFT KINGS banner behind him. Plus, he even mentions buying his t-shirts.

Exactly. He's entertaining, but he's not 'defending' anything. He's giving his site and t-shirt shop more exposure. This is how he makes his money. If he cared about the fans at all, he wouldn't steal their designs and make money off them.

Anyone who doubts the sincerity of Portnoy's quest to Free Brady and embarrass/out the NFL has their heads up their arsses. The guy is in 24/7 mode tossing haymakers left and right, confronting mediot haters on their own turf, taking the fight to the streets. Has any finger pointer here done even 1% of what Portnoy has accomplished? These four.... Portnoy, Curran, the chick lawyer Steph , and Washington Post writer.......deserve enshrinement....not sniping. Looking for ulterior motives that don't exist is what the NFL does.

Well, prophets don't generally fare that well, but I get to go to heaven, LOL.

But to be real, I recognize Portnoy's efforts, whatever his motivation, have been significantly more effective and entertaining than mine could ever be. I admire him for it.
