If the Pats are fortunate to win the Lombardi in February and the defense continues to play "lights out", I can envision the naysayers ( Parker/Kellerman/ etc) saying Brady is cruising on the coattails of the defense, ignoring that in both of Peyton's SB victories it was on the back of his defense and in spite of his lackluster performance ( 3 TD/7 int the first time) and a 75 and 70 QB rating....

Another good question is when will they give up their first td.

Let them say what they will. Makes it all the sweeter, IMO.

Chiefs defense looks even better than last year. Our defense looks even better than last year.

Chiefs Patriots will be high quality football. Strength vs. strength.

The Chiefs run defense is allowing 6.2 yards per carry which would put them as the second worse run defense of all time right behind the 1934 Cincinnati Reds which allowed 6.4 ypc.

Only 3 games in but yeah I wouldn't really say their defense looks improved.

A friend wanted to know who is this Kellerman you speak of??

Current ppg .......1
Therefore
16

But

If we offset ppg with Defensive touchdowns scored, including extra points/2 pt conversions......

Current net ppg... -3.67
Therefore
-58.67

But I acknowledge this is an unsustainable rate of excellence
Therefore
Factoring in wind, moisture, injury, tidal charts, astrology, Bill’s mood...
Final answer: -16

my assumption is that Joey meant the Chiefs OFFENSE not defense.

I'm going to nail this poll. Watch and learn.
(Will answer on Dec 31, a day before it closes).

I hope so.

And to be fair they're putting up better passing numbers but they're run game has taken a hut (4.8 ypc in 2018 vs 3.8 ypc in 2019).

We'll see how they how they're really measuring up to last year's offense by the end of the year.
