How Many Games Will the Patriots Need to Win to Silence Their Critics?

Will this ever go away with a successful season?

This thread is beyond ridiculous.

This is not about how many games the patriots win. Another poll might ask "How many games do the patriots have to win before their fans stop looking for approval from the media"?

Who cares what the critics think? They'll only get even more bitter if we win another SB.

What is going to be a drag is all of the ignorant fans of other teams that will constantly barrage us Pats fans about this very incident.

You thought the snow bowl thing was bad... h o l y s h i t . . .

It s u c k s but it is what it is...

The answer I'd pick for "silencing" critics wasn't posted. We'd have to lose a bunch of games/ finish last in the division/ fire coach/ new ownership/ etc. to "silence" critics. The Pats are the winningnest franchise of current history and look to continue for a while. As long as the Pats keep winning Superbowls / divisions / confs. then we will continue to hear from the "critics". Winning more ain't gonna shut em up.

Mav...you will NEVER do anything to silence the "Salem Witch hunt" media and all these hating teams and their fans that we have whipped over the past 6 years......this is going to be a tough year....

I voted perfect season but this is never going away. It's the excuse for every past and future loss to this team.

And you better bet if the Chargers lose there was interference happening to their communications system to the QB.

As mentioned, they'll have to lose a lot of games for anyone to shut up. The more they win, the more hate they will get.

It's the excuse for every past and future loss to this team.

Don't see how anybody can attribute future losses to the Pats on this. They're going to be the most closely scrutinized team for the next two years, at least.

I think what bothers people is that beyond the distraction this will cause for the Sunday game (and like I said, I think the Chargers are going to win), the Patriots are still a damn good team. The footage from the first quarter didn't help Ellis Hobbs set a record or help Randy Moss toy around with rookies that are five inches shorter than him.

Punishment is coming, maybe it includes a suspension, maybe it doesn't. They're still going to win at least ten games this season, so unless the bottom half of the AFC shapes up, they're going to be in the playoffs. People want them to suck, but it's going to take injuries in line with what happened in 2005 for that to happen. Of course they've not got a target on their foreheads, so maybe that will end up happening.
