Polk pick keeps looking worse.

Gotto ask..............

CEO Mayo's supposed one forte is "relating" to the modern athlete, right?
Maybe when's he's not too consumed with his daily Thunder conferences, Mayo can have a go at this kid?
Maybe, guide him to the Mayo Mural and let Polk absorb some of the sweet Mayo juju.
Bring Baker along...a two for one session.

But then, unlike with Polk, it isn't.
As Pats fans we can only hope that Polk blossoms as a 2nd year player. Understanding that hope makes for a very poor strategy ofc
He won’t blossom under THIS coaching staff.

Thread is locked, but readable.
People wanted Ladd McConkey or Mitchell and did not like the trade
I have read about 15 pages of this thread so far.
Conclusion
PatFans Posters for the most part got it right while media was doing their best Monica L impression
Here is one for pre game chuckles

The only similarity this stiff has ever had to Puka is that he should have been drafted in the 5th round.

Watch Polk go off like 7 catches 130 yds 2 tds today lol.
Ian, no disrespect you can go back to the draft forums that’s fine.
I was between Maye, McCarthy, Harrison, JR, Nabors.
I was out out Daniel’s due to lack of arm velocity, Age and thin frame.
I also talked about trading out of the first or late into it to grab Nix and a wr like a Thomas, Worthy, Legette.
I also talked about double stacking WRs and taking Spencer Rattler in the fourth or fifth.
I also talked about getting Fields or Mayfield and rebuilding the WRs and oline.

Once Maye became our guy I was fully behind him. I liked the Winning pedigree and arm talent of Mccarhy a little bit more, throws in Harbaughs admiration and the fact he went to Brady’s school. I was a bit smitten. The pro days between them both were excellent. And I left Mayes pro day thinking he was going number 2 therefore I advocated for McCarthy at 3 a top wr or a trade down.

Digging back I wanted Thornton so they grabbed my guy.
I wanted Davis Mills in the second or third over Mac Jones in the first.
I liked Kellen Mond and thought he would be excellent value in the fourth or fifth.

I can admit when I was wrong, no problems there.

Have you ever thought that maybe the Patriots offensive scheme is just that bad? Pats would have McConkey and Polk would be going off for team X. Coaching matters!

At this point I wonder if they could trade him for a 4th and put some of the blame on themselves and new system, new coaching staff etc and just fool someone into buying it.

I usually am on the patience and give another chance side but I just don't see here. Bring 2 good free agents, maybe draft Hunter if they are in position to do that and theres no trade down offers, then keep Boutte and Pop Douglas.

Should have never let Jakobi Meyers get away.

So what has Jakobi done for the Raiders? His numbers the last two years are no better than his 2021 numbers for the Patriots. And his Raiders team currently has the same number of wins as the Patriots - a whole 3. The Raiders are paying him an average of $11 Million/year for this, with a cap number ($9,477,333) that is more than $6 Million higher than the highest paid WR on the Patriots (Bourne at $3,250,000).

Jakobi was not the answer.

Would you rather have Polk or Meyers for Rookie Maye?

Ladd McConkey pick looking like a the next Wes Welker.

There are a lot of players I'd like over either or both of them. Who knows what Meyers would have done here with this OL?

He is a legit #2 receiver. We don’t have a 1 or a 2. He was half of the equation. Kind of silly to act like we couldn’t use him.

Talent shows up. See Drake Maye for proof.
