Penalties being considered for the Pats - UPDATED 1/1/2020

I realize that, but it's a second violation

It's NOT THE SAME, though. This is completely different than Spygate. The only thing similar is that there is a camera.

If any violation is part of the count - - what about Deflategate. Shouldn't it be then a THIRD???

Let's better define violation here.

Assuming BB has nothing to do with this, can we call the Krafts “Schmucks?”

Normally I would say this is a 250K fine, but Vincent may impose higher penalties since this was our 2nd violation. Again, they won't distinguish between football operations and non-football operations.

If Herr Goodell were really smart he would be sending Patriots to London for 2020 & 2021 seasons to be a 'home' team over there.
This would hurt Patriots more than any monetary penalty.

It's not what you or I think. It's what the LEAGUE freaking thinks. They won't make a distinction. Spygate = filming the sidelines. Spygate 2.0- = filming the sidelines.

Its why I will never blame Cincinnati. While I understand some here will and thats okay... My line of thinking tends to lead me to the opinion we deserve a fine. It was just a stupid situation and Cincinnati has every right to be annoyed.

The Cincy security guy seemed reasonable based on how he sounded on the recording.
I can’t believe we didn’t ask permission from the Bengals. The whole thing was so dumb and unavoidable.

The New England Patriots reportedly have disciplined the videographer responsible for filming the Cincinnati Bengals sideline during their Week 14 game in Cleveland.

Dave Mondillo, a longtime employee of Kraft Sports Productions, was suspended by the organization last week according to Ben Volin of The Boston Globe.

NESN's Doug Kyed reports Patriots president Jonathan Kraft had a closed-door meeting at the TV production office Monday, and the videographer hasn't returned since then.

Channel 5 news just reported that a tv producer for Kfraft productions was suspended.
Interesting.

“We”?

If he’s not involved with the football ops, that’s his fault. And Kraft’s. Not the team itself.

“We” meaning the Patriots organization.

They didn't need permission from the Bengals, they just weren't supposed to point the camera at the field.

Nothing says "we're guilty" like suspending the videographer.

This organization cannot afford to lose high picks. This is a killer if it happens. And I wouldn't be shocked if BB is suspended for next season. Especially after Spygate. The league isn't going to care whatsoever that the Pats didn't intend for this to happen. It did. And the Pats won't be given the benefit of the doubt. Not with their history.

Did I miss something? Just this morning Maske wrote that the league wasn't considering punishing any Patriots personnel, that they were looking at a hefty fine & a devaluation or loss of a later round draft pick. Cincy looks like they are trying to ramp up the penalty by releasing the tape & I hope the league punishes them for the leak, but I haven't seen anything that would indicate that Maske was wrong...

And I hope this is the end of "Kraft Productions". It's an unnecessary risk for this organization to be taking.

Pats need all the picks they can get.

After watching the video, this is what I saw from.

The Bengals are on now on my **** list of organizations, up there with the Jets, Ravens, and Colts. They deserve their zero success over 50 years. ****, the Jets have a better legacy than them. The Jets. Mike Brown would have been the exiled son passed over by his dad for the inheritance back in the Middle Ages and Roman ages. No need to leak a chopped snippet like that intentionally leaving important features out.
I CAN tell you this, little Mr. Taylor burned a huge bridge with BB.
And BB does and will forever carry a lot of weight in the NFL with or without this BS "footage"
